I use Hagerty. They were willing to insure my 40 before I turned 21, company loyalty on my part.:)

I changed from Haggerty to Grundy this year. Costs are almost 45% less and I have greater agreed value. All I lost is the towing allowance and since I saved about $250 I figured I could prolly get it home cheaper than that. :D

Either way I think both have internet sign-ups.

I run with Hagerty, have been for the last 10 years. Filed one claim with them that was my fault, and received a check in two weeks.

Never heard of Grundy? I use them. Must be garaged, & not used for work transportation or errands. You have to send pics, & sometimes sign a "youthful driver exclusion". But it's only $30 per year for (I think) $300,000 liability, & about $60 per year for collision & comprehensive on a car valued at $4,000 (stated value). You don't *have* to buy collsion, & can save about $30 without it. So for less than $100 per year on a lot of cars, you can have full coverage & most important (In my opinion), you have a value set in case someone hits you & their state fart insurance wants to pay you $300 for your classic. Check on the Hemmings website for the Grundy phone # & other companies/options. (normally I would point you to ScrewedByinsurance.com - I have the Grundy phone # there - but it's still down for about a week or two; untill I finish the Mera)

I need to get my cars insured too, all I have is liability insurance on everything. Farmers wants way to much for collision. Has anyone had to file a claim with Grundy on their policy? Everyone mentioned that there was a big difference in the price of the policy from Hagerty to Grundy.

Some of the things that the underwriters want are [font=&quot]ridiculous, If the car looks good, why should the paint be almost new.

I remember when I was living at home and my mom's car insurance would cover anyone driving her car, except for me. <lol>

You have to send them (Grundy) a couple pics, but most of my cars are unfinished & I simply stated "not yet painted".
