I had bought a new intake manifold made by Edelbrock for my 1959 ford 352 but I noticed there is a lot of differences the new manifold does not have the fill neck for servicing the oil and the vacuum ports and water temp monitor are in a different part of the manifold has any one put one of these on there engines and was there any problems

As I recall the old FE motors used a draft tube at the rear of the manifold to release crankcase presure and oil vapors. The oil fill tube on the front used a cap with a breather. The valve covers did not have any openings in this setup. Later the pcv valve was added to one valve cover and a filter added to the other. At that point the openings in the intake were were no longer used, since you added oil in the valve cover. You would need to use later valve covers with the new manifold.

I would update the engine with newer style valve covers and add a pcv valve, its better for the engine anyway.
