I just found these pictures taken in 2001 when I was
driving back from seeing a customer in Dyersburg TN, North
of Memphis, saw this from the road and had to stop and take
a couple pictures. Any guesses what he was going for here?

I just p***ed through Dyersburg the other day...definitely didn't see anything quite like that!!

Personally, I think he was trying to elicit as many "WTF?" kind of responses as he could. Why else would you think that thing was a good idea? [IMG] [IMG]

And throw in some El Matador trunk details for good measure.

I wonder if it was going to be chopped later, it's got all the other most difficult body mods already done.

i have dreamed of such a car ,then i realized it was a nightmare,ok sorry, lots of cars from the 50's mags had a do it your self roadster or coupe and you had to hunt down about 8 cars to chop up and build the one in the magazine,i like it though

I kinda like it. It is different than anything on the road. It one of those kustoms that everyone trashes but secretly lusts for.

  11. That little ******* is cool as hell.....top needs a chop and the rear fins need a little work but its pretty damn neat. The fins remind me of the 1954 pontiac bonneville special showcar...

I have some pics of that car somewhere around here. I lived near D-burg several years ago when that thing was sitting on the side of the highway. Went through a couple of years ago and it wasn't there anymore.

He told me the car had come to Tennessee from Kansas. Aparently the work was done out there.

  15. Certainly started life as a '35-'36 3-window coupe.

I think he was trying to invoke the devil.

That is THE ugliest abortion I have seen yet, and to think it started out as one of the worlds most beautiful cars.
