    very cool thread rbantique et al. Question..does anyone know just what the wheels are are the Parrott 1928? roadster on p9 ,post 161?

    and also on p7 ,post127, is that the Joe Cardoza 47/8? Chev 3rd row down ,in the middle ?

    thats one of the reasons i pick up old mags ( like 40 plus years old ), because of the ads in them ... its like a lost art compared to now ....

    What magazine did the images in post #14 come from? I really like the looks of the Victoria at the top, and I'd like to track down the article. Chances are that I have the magazine, but don't know where to look for it.

  29. "Buiford", Bob Hurst's 52 Victoria was on the September 1957 cover of R0d & Custom.

    Bob was from Ogden, Utah and built by Gaylen Anderson. I worked for Gaylen when I was a senior in high school, doing artwork and helping around his shop. Gay was a master metalman and did several local show winners. Gay later moved to Idaho and I have lost track of him.

    Bob took the car to California with him when he enlisted in the service and as far as I know the car has never been uncovered. Bob is dead now and his sister has tried to find the whereabouts of the car for years with no luck.

    I've scanned the cover for you, I hope this helps.
