I missed out on this one by couple hours..complete drivetrain and likely would run,,still shopping for my next project …$2200 CDN

 

The lettering on this is amazing

 

As far as I'm concerned, there's $2300 worth of hand painted sign lettering "garage art" panels there. That rear body panel and window should be $500 by itself!

 

Do hand lettered panels used for garage art really bring that kind of money? I had no idea

 

Well it ought to, dammit! Somewhere there must be a Cracker Barrel Restaurant that would give you at least $2300 just for all the tin . . .

 

My wife does hand lettering, but has always worked with wood. Maybe I should be bringing her home some old body panels from the swap meet...

 

If she's using real lettering quills and sign painting enamels, you should get her an old car or truck door or deck lid to practice on. Something still fairly straight with some paint still on it. Hand painted signs have had a bit of a resurgence in the last few years. It's hard to beat the look on a vintage vehicle when it's done right.
