There's a complete but basket case 40 Ford on my local cl, BUT it's all there and runs and moves, so the flattie is good I'd. I think they're asking 13? Not sure if that's good or bad. Lemme see if I can find the ad again.....

The pink '56 is a Victoria but not a Crown Victoria, no basket handle over the roof. Attractive body style but looks pretty stripped already. The '54 Ford is a Courier sedan delivery, pretty cool and appears to be all there although rough.

^^^^^ not any vin# I’ve ever seen on a 56 Ford or any combo of color/interior or daily production sequence.

Maybe not expensive for some but too rich for my blood. Would love to cruise around in that.

  12. Hello $1950 for a '54 olds 2 door in SE PA. (By the way guys, I just bought the "$5500 1955 Olds 88" mentioned earlier in this thread! Pics coming soon. I swear : I could buy a 1922 Hupmobile, for $900 bucks, and the next few weeks there'd be 4-5 on C/L or FB Marketplace for a similar price in much better shape. True of the '55. How soon a $5500 car becomes a $10,000 car....Already got NOS door cards, rust free bumpers, a battery, some seat covers...last registered in 1985 . )

A good friend in grade school back in the sixties mom drove one of these except it was battleship gray. It was an old car then but I thought the back window was cool!

There’s a 37-38 Chevy four door on Seattle Craigslist for free, pretty rough looking but possibly something usable.

  17. No, the headlights have those chrome eyelids on the top half. So the lights aren't in the trees at night. Car is from western NC, has rear shackles, maybe it was a juice car(moonshine) at one point.lol.

Starting to see the asking prices slowly dropping... reality must be kicking some flippers in the nuts about now. All that free money is drying up.

I was heavy into Chris Craft and other wood boats during their heyday. And it's over, 100%. Some boats will always command some good money, but in general terms that market died fast, with the generation that loved them enough to do all that work.

I've been saying for a few years the hot rod era cars are going to see the same at some point. You think a young kid wants a 50s hot rod? Maybe a few do, but I predict the future of our era of cars is going to drastically shrink sooner than later. And prices will follow suit on many cars...

Had my fling with boats as well. It's no secret why they're referred to as holes in the water you pour money into. Lots of collectible stuff going on the market lately; I've noticed a flood of cool old guitars and such up for sale. There's a generation coming that just has no interest in stuff that never really impacted their lives like rods, bike, guitars, etc did for us. Oh well; not gonna condemn them for it; it's just not their interest.

Guitars seem to be market proof somewhat. No matter what there will be pickers and they'll always want the good stuff. I just added a Martin D28 to my arsenal, and it's absolutely amazing. That hasn't changed since they were introduced in the 30s.

But I guess guitars don't have major upkeep or run on gas, lol, so that makes them more palletable. If a person had to sand and revarnish their guitar ever 5 years like a boat, I doubt they'd be as poplar! Get it? Poplar?

Oh nevermind..... They're spruce and rosewood....

can you give the actual ad (or PM me) for the 62 Stude rather than a screen capture?
A friend is interested, but we can't identify Cherry Valley location.
    TIA
