Fairly sure this car was for sale here in Wisconsin a few years ago and I looked at it then. If it's indeed the same car, the steering wheel from it is in my T roadster now. Again, if it's the same one, I didn't care for the transition where the rear of the roof meets the body, but otherwise it looked pretty good, and that could be corrected. Big project, but a super cool car, and it was a lot more money when I saw it.

Grilles alone is going to cover that price. You would need to go through all the parts carefully to make sure it's all there.

Solid parts for 40s & 50s Plymouths (or any Mopar) are not easy to find. You want to buy those cars (and trucks) as complete as possible. Usually the missing trim pieces are missing on all of them, don't expect to find that missing piece fast, or for it to be cheap. Most I have seen need full floor pans (because the glass seals and door seals suck), the prices of the metal and seal parts add up fast.
The good news is, the mechanical replacement or repair parts are pretty easy to find and are generally inexpensive, if you have rebuildable cores. Their mechanical designs were years ahead of their time, so they can be solid platforms to build, if you can live without the missing trim.

Probably just a 64-66 truck with a '62 grill on it.

That DeSoto floor is tough, no matter what the price. :(
Next to the Buick, which probably has patch panels available and is more popular AND cheaper, he's going to have that in the barn for a while.

I would think the Desoto is over priced for what is there, but then I think most stuff available these days is over priced, so I won't go there.

I've been playing with 46-48 Mopar cars for years. I have never seen an actual floor pan or rockers on any of them that wasn't rotted out someplace. I also have never bought any fabricated floor pans or rockers for any of them.
The floor pans are mostly flat (the reason they rotted out, water just sat on them).

I use 18 gauge sheet metal for the floors and I use 11 gauge (1/8" wall) 2" square tubing for the rockers. The tubing makes it easy to attach the outer body to the rusted off floor braces, then once that is done, I use the 18 gauge sheet metal to replace the missing floor. I could buy a length of the tubing and a sheet of 18 gauge sheet metal for less then someone's crappy fitting floor pans.

Floors on the '48 Plym I had for 15 years was solid, with rust in various parts of the body, the floors on the '47 Dodge on the other hand....

34 Ford frame NO title, NO VIN #. Custom fabricated front engine mounts with vintage Hurst mount plate... Nicely Modified X member and transmission mount. NO rear axle, but mounts are installed for Posi's leaf spring kit. Hydraulic front brakes and original wishbones.. Most of the work was done by a highly skilled Michigan farmer in the 60's. Need a project, here it is.
