A friend here bought the rustiest '60 El Camino I have ever seen. I asked him "why?" He said it is a '60 El Camino with a clear title. I've wanted one for years. He then bought one of the nicest '60 station wagons I've ever seen. In a year he had one of the nicest '60 El Caminos I've ever seen. He got it for cheap and just a year of his life.

Conventional wisdom is to find a stalled project. This seems to be a decent start.

The way I see it, I can spend a lot more time sitting on my butt looking all over the net for something that looks like a reasonably priced project, or I can spend a lot less time looking at something that someone on the HAMB sees possibilities in.

I’m with Alan on this one but whenever I post something I try to keep it under $2k just because I’m cheap that way.

I have focus and no money, so all of them are too much!:D
I try to keep it in the low 4 digits. If it was limited to under a grand, there would be a lot fewer posts and they would be stuff most wouldn't even fantasize about. Under 500 is going to be really thin.
I'd guess that if a 32 or 34 complete came up at those limits, anyone finding it wouldn't post it, they would be callin' and haulin'!
