That one actually has some potential. Start with knocking all the goofy off it....
Wheels, drivetrain, and some other bits seem to be OK. I could even live with the faded flamed paint for a while. Deep dive on the safety things and......I got an old gallon of Dupont red lacquer primer around here somewhere....

There's lots of golf carts and 4 wheeled ATV's driving around my town as well in the summertime, I'd love to see those swapped out with Model T or A era vehicles. Would be a lot more fun to look at, and considering what some of those ATV's cost, a lot cheaper, too.

  13. Yep, must be an early production one, the later ones had the "X", My 35 Tudor sedan has them.

We called them hedge trees where I grew up (so. Iowa). Most of our corner fence posts were cut from “hedge” not pretty but strong and heavy! A hedge ball was also good to throw at your big brother after a fight. Unfortunately they were also good at leaving a nasty bruise when said big brother threw it back!

Memories, we had a green one of those about the time my brother got his license at 14. It was the first family car he started "hot rodding". He got some Studebaker hub caps (poorman's Moons) He finally talked Dad into splitting the manifold if he'd promise to stop running water up the exhaust pipe trying to rust out the muffler. And he had to leave Dad's '52 Dodge pickup alone and move the PLUGS car club plaque from the pickup to the Plymouth. Mom shot don't the dual carbs and can plan but Uncle Blake (owned a wrecking yard) had an Edmunds head. Great little family car! Made a few trips Texas to CA in it.

When they take a bite it makes them think they are fruit flys and the kill themselves when they try to fly away. Kinda like acid in the '60s.

I've heard horror stories of trying to repair burnt cars, but the '40 Ford convertible seems like it'd be worth a try for that price.

Hedge Apples, Monkey Balls, in these parts. Oldtimers (like my oldman) would put them in the basement rafters to keep the bugs and spiders out over the winter. I think it worked....o_O
