I always thought that one of these Hot Rodded, but still looking stock, would be such a cool ride!
They remind of the Buick Specials, that were seen on the old TV program "Highway Patrol"

So the guy posts a great pic of a cool car, but he is selling oil filters and a carb sediment bowl.
Be careful of what you think you may be buying.

You can tell the times might be getting tougher, there have been some cool cars and trucks with prices coming down.
Not long ago, I saw someone local listed a running/driving, with title, 57 Dodge 1/2 ton pickup. Has a poly V8, 3 on the tree, for $3500. Looked like a great starting point. I have no relationship with the guy, and I have no idea how to post a link.

"Also considering selling the 1941 desoto s-8 pictured. Contact me for info on the car." While not a guarantee, I'd say that's a clear indication of intent to sell. I don't see anything devious nor deceptive about it. He posted multiple pics of the parts he's selling, and only one pic of the car...not terrible on his part.

The old saying was: If the ad is too good to be true, it usually is.
Probably more true today then it was back then.

The '59 Edsel is pretty ugly with the painted over trim, but it looks like possibly the hood scoop they used is a genuine Mach 1 shaker, which could be worth a pretty significant portion of the cost of the whole car. And the two tone green and white interior doesn't look terrible either. I could see where that car could be a good deal to the right person.

1952 Lancer Coupe · First production fiberglass body made in the United States. Possibly 12 built 4 known to exist today. Has early Ford Y block V8 adapted to a 46 to 48 Ford transmission and rear. Frame has been custom built to fit body. The original builder took a 54 4 door Mercury and cut it up to build this car. Was built to this point in Williamsport PA. Please PM me for more pictures or information. Car has never been titled. Car has never set outside. Motor is stuck from setting. I’ve had lubricant in cylinder’s for years. A little time and labor you could have the only Lancer known to run and drive!! Don’t follow in everyone else’s footsteps dare to be different!!

    Is interesting for sure. Mike
