Early ford 3/4 ton truck, eh? Note the wide five floating front hubs, too.

Also the period gas-pedal, shifter (appears to be 64-ish console Impala lever), and proper (Bell?) steering wheel!
Definitely a cool representation! I like.

I thought that one of the more interesting facts from your link was about the actor who portrayed the driver of this car in Greased Lightning. It was Earl Hindman who most of us know more commonly as Tim's next door neighbor, "Wilson", from Home Improvement. Not that you'd recognize him from the lower half of his face.

I guess a low oil pressure light, using a cab clearance light housing.....?
Also, after watching that video, I'd venture the cam is a good 'ole 30-30. Got that familiar clackety-clack...:D

  16. God I feel old. I have used those old split tail rearends from a truck with 6.67 gears, (a tough tow with that locked rear), and a beer keg for a fuel tank. Of course... being high tech, we used 36 ford hubs rather than those expensive aluminum one's. Yes sir... safety was our number one concern. :)

I'd drive it. Fast, on gravel.

    What's the asking price?

With the price of 55 Chevy 2-doors around here, sadly it's not outrageous...

  20. I wondered if this was built for the movie based off the pic posted on the links
Or the movie folks painted an existing dirt tracker to resemble the original.
The old rear end kinda makes me think the latter

If you say it's ONLY 18K, it doesn't hurt so much;)
