Anyone got any photos of Garza's work ? I am seriously looking for somewhere in SoCal who is not booked well past my death or has their own tv show. Not bargain hunting, just want high quality work from a shop that knows how to do traditional 60's style. I used to take cars to Juarez but nowadays that is a fatal place for gringos to be. Willing to trailer as far north as Fresno.

Thanks for the photos of TJ work, definitely one of the best bargains still out there.

Not trying to shill for Garza's but I'm happy with their work. Have used them twice, once I was very happy and once I was ecstatic. Don't know how to post pics. If you want '60s, look at the Starliner on the cover. It was done by Chuy's and is mighty impressive!

I have done at least 30 cars at Champions in Tijuana and I consider those guys as my personal friends and I'm a damn German rockabilly whiteboy. You get the best savings if you don't bring your own materials, unless you got something very specific or need the original fabric. The price is the same either or. Also, get the whole car done in one shot. Not like, I take the seat this month and later when I have more money I do the rest... You'll spend much more! Don't aspect high end quality for 1000 bucks, but if you step up a little, or go for real leather, sure they can do it. For small jobs I used places in the US, but the TJ guys are better, or at least equal. I'll call them the night before and bring the car at 9 am. 90% a time they finish the same day. If not, there are motels with your own personal garage for less than 30 bucks in Tijuana. You can trailer the car into Mexico only if it's registered to Your name, otherwise you gotta drive it across. Coming back either way. If you think your car can handle up to 1hour at idle without overheating at the border wait, go for it. Even years later, when you sit in the car, you'll remember that crazy trip to TJ. Don't live in fear, have fun! By the way, they did the top of that roadster and I got rid of those big tires!!

Every time I read this thread, I can't wait until I feel like I'm at the point of having all the other stuff done so I can complete it all with a new interior.
