    My first post!
Well, I bought a 1954 Chevy 210 more-door a few months back. Been lurking on the HAMB learning a lot of information along with getting inspired to complete my ride. My car, for the most part, is at the cosmetic stage. Full airride (lays frame), SBC, T350 trans, etc.

Next up is interior and currently, due to the c-notch, the previous owner took out the rear seat and threw it away. The front seat is just springs so I have a couple of questions...

    1. What seat (from the junk yard or Craigslist) should I get? (I've been told perhaps a bench seat from a van might work) Anyone have experience with this kinda thing?

    2. Given the front seat has no foam or fabric left, should I have it reupholstered or should I look for one from another car or truck to replace it? Which would be best on the money scenario?

We just had our first child born 10-21 and he is obviously taking up all of my time and money. Looking forward to driving him around in the car once he gets a little older but I need to get the backseat thing figured out first.

even cheap hot rod interior from seat frame up will run upward of a thousand bucks, at least where i live. juck yard stuff usually isnt in much better shape either. check out your local interior shops for bids and see if you can get it done. craigslist is a good option.

I tried earlier today to post a reply but here goes again. I used a 60/40 split bench from a late 80's early 90's chev C10. The width is just fine, but I had to lower the seat mounts about 1.5" to keep the headroom I wanted. The mounts did not take a lot of effort, just some plate and careful measurements. Good luck
