I am a few days away from being able to finally chop the top on my 53 chevy and the only things I have left to do is remove the headliner and door panels. I am not sure how to do either. Does anyone know how?

They are either nailed through the metal (doors), or stapled to a 1/2" square strip of tar paper (headliner). I had a tough time preserving things because my fabric was so brittle. When I reinstall, I'm going with modern plastic plugs through drilled holes.

Be sure to carefully number the headliner bows and mark the holes that they were in so you can put them back in the proper order. It is a good idea to take pics as you go so you will have something to refer to. Put the screws that hold the mldg in a plastic baggy with a label saying where they came from. Take your time and think about putting it back as you take it out.
