The fellows who restored this old car 14 years ago DID get the exterior colors right according to the door panel tag. The exterior is waterfall blue and regatta blue, and only used in 1955. However, I can't find any source for the the interior colors, and what is there is decidedly not the exterior colors. Does anyone know a site that might have such interior color info? Thanks. This site is awesome, groovy, and far out!
Can't help you with a source, but my Dad bought a new loaded 55' Fairlaine. His car was bright red, and the interior was a three-tone white / grey / salmon, an the salmon portion had gold threads running through it. He says as he remembers it, a blue car would have been the same, with a blue in place of the Salmon. Says my mom almost didn't get a third date because she kept making heel marks on the white vinyl section of his door panels! (They've been married 60 years!)
Thinking it through, maybe one of the restoration interior companies (Lebaron - Bonney etc.) could help you out with exactly what it should be.
I have a bolt of what is supposed to be original '55-'56 Ford insert mutli color blue. It sure looks the part from the best that this old brain remembers. Can dig it out and send a picture if you like?
