Yup the car is basically finished now if they ever really are finished.
Since I have had it on the road now since 2020 and worked out a few bugs it’s proven to be a solid reliable driver.
The Tim McMaster Y Block is running really well.
Such a fun ride and the interior will make it better.

Great work! Very well executed and looks comfortable, maximizing the available interior space. I need to clear the clutter off of my Juki Lu 563 as well and learn how to use it properly. I can only hope to do as well as you. Enjoy!

Nice job, just a thought, If you are looking for a side business or start up, there is a Huge shortage of upholstery shops for kustom work IMO. There's room for all levels of quality required, again I say this from my experience and guys I know. I was lucky years back to find a talented man, reasonable $$ and did the job on my 32, very happy and met the agreed delivery pretty close. Again your job Looks Good. An Official ATTABOY !

Very well done, looks perfect and proper in your hot rod. I have done some upholstery on my coupe for the first time and found it to be kind of fun.

Great job of t******* out the interior, and that shift/brake lever boot is just so neat.

The shift boot was challenging in the fact that the elongated portion of the Gennieshifter and the combined Lokar e brake were so close together that separate boots weren’t going to work.

Along with that the neutral safety switch and wiring are right there in the middle between the two.

The solution as you can see was to make a double boot with the cut out and sewed together center to make room for the switch and wiring.

The base trim ring and the boot are held down by 10/32 nutserts and SS machine screws.

In case you’re wondering about the carpets they are cut out of a set of Rubber backed 2007 Ford Fusion carpet floor mats that I had saved (new) from a car we had bought and installed Weathertech floor liners in.

I cut the mats to fit the floor boards and then sewed binding around the edges.

The Juki machine sewed through the cloth binding carpet , and stiff rubber backing with no problem.

Previous to the cutting and binding I had used an 80 grit sanding disc on my grinder to remove the grid of hundreds of pointy rubber spikes designed to hold them in place on the cars base carpet.

First attempt? That is amazing Larry, your a natural.

My first attempt was in the model A pickup and all I did was the door panels, plywood, foam, vinyl and staples, no design work. HRP

I’m working on a 26 touring and was considering a steering wheel quick disconnect like yours. I will be using a 17” wheel. Do you think it’s necessary for getting in the car?

I am glad I put it in. It really helps when I have the Rod Tops soft top on. Without the top it’s not really needed. I like the top although I mostly run without the top.
