I just found a nice early 50's International cab. Wondering what frame might be a god donor frame. There is nothing more than the cab. Thanks for the info.
Get some 2 x 4 1/4 wall steel tubing a straight axle a ford 9 in. rear end and build it your way! I will do this next time. Don in N. W. Indiana
If I could find a frame that's what I would prefer to use. I don't have the space or equipment to jig up a frame right now. But thanks for the imputed guys
Years ago a friend had a 54 International project and a 86 Chev pickup. He did some measuring and found the International was very close to fitting on the Chev frame. I don't remember the details, he may have had to change the body mounts but it wasn't very difficult. Usually on putting an old cab on a newer frame the big sticking place is the track width. The new suspension is a lot wider and sometimes the tires won't fit under the fenders. If you can find a pickup chassis with the right track width and wheelbase you should be able to put the body on without too much trouble.
Look to a more readily available GM or Ford Chassis from the '50s - early '60s. That era chassis is more like what was under the Binder originally (shape and size) and either can be readily upgraded with brakes, steering etc. As pointed out above, the late models are usually way too wide to readily adapt and look out of place.
