Whats up...My name is Jim...I usually don't have a lot of time to be on the computer but after a couple of buddy's kept telling me about the H.A.M.B. I had to get on here and check it out. I've been working on a 57 chevy wagon for my wife, I'll try and get some pics up in a bit. I also own a shop right outside of Dallas. Killer Ridez You can check out the website to see some of our work. If I can ever help anybody out, just let me know.

  4. I think the link to your site is messed up... when I clicked on it, I saw a bunch of billet aluminum cookie cutter CRAP. You know, the type of cars that BOUGHT RODDERS buy.

I take it this is some sort of post-April Fools day JOKE... hahahaha... now show us what you REALLY build.

No where in your post does it state that you prefer the old school style for yourself. I believe Sam is just wondering WHY your here on a traditional hot rod and kustom message board when the style on your website fits other boards better. A photo of your wifes wagon, and alittle info regarding the buildup would go along way in assuring most folks that your here for the right reasons.

Including the name of said HAMB friends also goes along way.

    Exactly!

You have to understand... this IS a traditional hot rod and custom messageboard... not a "Street is Neat", cry-baby doll, tribal flame 20" bling-bling messageboard...

As far as the Texas thing goes... yea, they "got it goin' on"... but just because you're from Texas doesn't mean you automatically have taste in cars... or women.

WTF? since when is it a crime for this guy to make a living? they're customer's cars OK?

  10. welcome aboard, jim.

just take the beating they give ya. it's like a trial by fire.

it's always a good idea to just lurk for a bit and watch how things go around here. you'll get the hang of it. but don't be suprised if you decide to sell all of your current rides and go dig up an old rod to build. it WILL happen.

  11. Well, I am from California and now live in Texas. So therefore I am partial to neither. Welcome to the HAMB.Since everyone is throwing in their 2 cents....you do whatever makes you happy. You want to talk cars, go right ahead. Weather it is about the Hirohata Merc of the Titus Chevy, go ahead.Cant please everyone so why not try pleasing yourself?

  12. It's not a crime Yorgi... and I'm sorry I busted the guys balls... sheesh, we should invite all car people here and have a group hug over all things mechanical. Invite the Honda guys over, the pro touring folks, the guys that build kit car Cobras... I can see the new slogan now "As long as it has an engine... it's all good" or maybe "The HAMB home of Kustoms, hot rods, street rods, Trucks, 4x4's, Lowriders, Imports, Mountain Bikes... you name it, we LOVE it"

I think I would have had a totally different perspective on the guy if there was ONE... just ONE car on his site that he had built that had some BALLS... post pics of your wagon man... tell us how you're going to primer it black , paint the wheels red and put a Mexican blanket on the seat... but instead... we get KILLER RIDEZZZZ! Hahahahaha...

Where's Sally Strouthers when we need her...
    Sam.
p.s. I like the "Models" standing next to your cars though...

WOW! What a welcome..... I happen to know Jim personally and believe me if it has wheels he is in to it. I told him to get on this board thinking he would be accepted, but Sheesh.....SamIyam is just showing all the love!

I happen to know the progress of the '57 wagon and also the latest project a '36 p/u. The '57 is in Fact flat black with a purple top, might even get some purple flames, as for mexican blankets, maybe or maybe not. it does have wide whites, it does have color matched wheels and is in the process of laying body!

As he said in his Intro...he is VERY busy at the shop doing what he does and I am sure soon enough he will post some pics of HAMB Appropriate projects......

  15. This is all becoming a sad, disgusting joke.

  16. Yea, I really apologize... I mean, just because they guy builds cars that aren't this messageboards' cup of tea... doesn't give me the right to BAG on him. I searched his site a little further and found this cool old Dodge HOT ROD. Neat car!

c'mon sam,we all know rule #1;the customer is always wrong! i watch "american hot rod" every week and i love the craftmanship, but my biggest complaint about boyd is he suffers from poor taste... [IMG]

  20. I guess I count myself lucky in that customers drop their cars off at my place and say "let me know when to send money and when to pick it up"...

I let them pick the color though...

This is why I don't do it full-time. When I was building bikes I hated most of the bikes I built. Now I pick and choose wether I want to do the job or not. Plus I have more motivation to work on my own stuff. Hell I was so burnt out on bikes I stopped racing, looks like I might want to do that again as well.

I assume this is the wagon he's talking about. But his site refers to it as the "shop truck", allready sporting the mexican blanket......

    I'm just gonna say welcome.
you have already taken it up the ass quite enough.
If I posted on here what I do for a living, most people would shit on me too...
Just keep the posts on a traditional path and maybe after a little time spent on the HAMB, you will see the light....

Might I remind you SamIyam that if you're busting this guys balls, you might as well bust Killer's on every current project billet post he makes also. There's been about five posts all with billet truckin' stuff. Its just a job.

Then again, you could just be busting his balls extensively though. [IMG]

    I like this guy!

He takes a whoppin'... and doesn't get all bent out of shape... if you can stand up to that kind of abuse, you must be a knowledgable dude, with a lot to offer.

    Welcome aboard!!

Hankcash...can I shit on you? I know what you do for a living.

    Plus, I'm really into that.

I kinda like the wagon, personally...welcome aboard hammered. Looks like your living up to your name today as Sam shit-hammers you. [IMG]

  30. daign, Killer happens to be in touch with his feminine side as well as his masculine side... so he can build trucks for people with a testosterone imbalance and get away with it... besides, I was just hammering hammerd to see what he'd do... and it appears as though the guys got BALLS... as well as GAIN.
