WELCOME.....great intro and a kewl life...........

    Wow, I'm not worthy.
I just try to be thorough.

Denise----look forward to meeting you, you are an inspiration to women hot rodders everywhere!

Flt-bk----I think Outlaw leaves tonight and I leave tomorrow morning. The way he drives there is NO WAY I'm catching him unless, God forbid, he breaks. Doesn't mean I won't try though!

  10. Marcy,
    So you're a gurl? [IMG]
Welcome, lurk if you want or not.
Ask questions or give answers, and most of all blow off the ****(drama?) and have a good time. If its not fun no reason to do it.

    Howdy Marcy! Welcome!
don't you miss the grilled corn on the cobb at the Wisconsin State Fair? [IMG]

I lived in Waukesha growing up. If you see Wingnutz post anything say Howdy to him. He is a self proclaimed WisTexan [IMG]

It must be a Wisconsin thing, I LOVE roasted corn.
Luckily they have plenty at the flea markets and outdoor events here in Texas.
I even have a corn vendor lined up for Live Fast if the hotel-convention center gives us the okay.

    Hey Ron!
The MUSEUM would definately take us WAY OT......best viewed in person and preferably in many small doses----a lifetime of obsessive collecting can be a bit overwhelming for some. (ask my ex-business partner)

We can take an opinion poll...Monkey? Outlaw? BARNETT?

Hey Monkey! You were definately missed at the Lonestar.
I told Mick I would try and make Dewey but I'm supposed to be working in Phoenix that weekend----we'll see.

    Barnett,
you should have called me I just s****ped a Flywheel. It's aluminum so it's light. I don't have a clue what you're doing but call me if you want it.

    Marcy,
Welcome to the HAMB. I tried to defend you when they (Barnett and Jason) were bust'n on you.

That T is cool...I have some great stuff called Rust Bullet that will save you a ton of time when you start on the body work. It'll stop the rust and act as great primer I used it on my T, and saved a ton of time. [IMG]

I did notice you spoke in my defense.
I never did deny that I might be "creepy" but I certainly don't have a mullet or drive a 5.0

I have already slathered the inside lowers with POR-15.
    Is the Rust Bullet better?
I plan on leaving the outside looking rather rough----I love cars that are built well but LOOK unsafe----a pinstriping kid from Georgia, Scotty?, is the perfect example----I met him and his dad and car at the Turkey run in Daytona 2 years ago.
Solid, well built frame and big block in a rusty, holy, floorless roadster.[IMG] Right hand drive too for good measure----anyone have pictures??? I don't know if he's on the board or not.

That's what they claim. Supposedly it sands better and stuff like that. And it really does a great job of killing the rust. It's silver, not black, so you almost have to paint over it, though.

Rusty is cool...too. It will make more of and impression now that the high dollar rides have arrived in Austin in full force. [IMG]

I'll second AntiChrysler's kudo's regarding RUST BULLET. I just used it on Big Olds this weekend. PurplePickup sprayed a bunch of small parts and the inside and outside of my rear bumper (a temporary fix till I can get it rechromed). I brushed it on the inside floor of the car and inside the trunk, making sure I got in all the nooks and crannies. I've got a second quart that I'm going to use on the undercarriage this weekend. That B'ville salt is some nasty stuff. [IMG]

One hint if you do use it, wear gloves along with the proper mask. Thinner doesn't even take it off the hands. I learned the hard way. Only a few more layers of skin to go and it will be all off [IMG]

Here's what the finish looks like. The bugs are an free option [IMG]

    Hi Marcy...welcome to the board.
Barnett has mentioned this Houston convention on more than one occasion...do you have any details you could post?
It sounds like a lot of fun...

    You're joking right?
I've had a tattoo related clothing line for 13 years and I promote two tattoo conventions--Austin and Houston.
I pretty much owe my quality of life to tattooing and the tattoo industry.

I guess I should have added to my intro:

For the record: I have tattoos, with a 36 inch inseem cuffs aren’t really a possibility and I am not bothered by the term “Rat Rod”---I prefer to think of it as Rat Fink Rod rather than Ratty (although Ratty was always my favorite car on Mr Toad’s Wild Ride!)
I don’t think Rat Rod should be an excuse to build unsafe cars though.

    Hi Johnny!
I'm surprised our paths have never crossed---I missed Pistons and Paint last year----poor Hami thought he offended me by telling me he didn't have any more vendor space but I actually had to miss it for other reasons.
The Houston show, much like the tattoo convention I put on in Austin, is meant to be a party with friends but on a large scale and pretty much what I would want to see or do if I was going to a show.
A lot of the details are up on the website
    www.livefasttexas.com
Other details, like the bands and other outside activities, I can't post yet-----still going 'round and'round with the hotel/convention center legal department-----they're afraid of us hoodlums you know.

I'd love for you to participate in the Art Gallery.

Also, in Austin this year it was pretty cool, we set up an after hours room stocked with beer and soda and people could just come and go and paint all night. A lot of the usual 1-Shot wonders participated---Barnett, Ron and Mike from Kansas, McPhail, Jerry Owen, Jeff Shea and Jimmy Litwalk (I'm sure I'm forgetting someone) but it was SUPER COOL to see people that had never really messed with 1-Shot jump in---Eric Inclan, Cory Miller, Sam Chamberlain---Jack Rudy stayed and painted 'till 7:00 in the morning---pretty bad*** too!
Sam gave me his cool panel----I'll try to post some pictures of the stuff after Viva.

Actually I was pretty much vegetarian when I lived there---go figure right?
Oddly enough, since being in Texas barbeque has come back into my diet.
BARNETT used to love busting me for eating bacon---the one thing I could never give up! [IMG]
