Intro I'm new here 63 C10 is what I'm working with.

I'm in the process of gathering. My 63 C10 is in great shape. I'm looking to swap the inline 292 for a 327 that is soon to be completed. It has a low geared 4 speed currently. I have a 700R4 to replace it. Would welcome all advise as to the pitfalls I may run into. Thanks

 

Nice ride man! Its a pretty straight forward swap. Motor & trans. mounts may cause the worst of your grief, relocating & such. & trans cooler of course... If there's no deadline for immediate completion, just take your time & try not to forget why were doing it. Good luck & feel free to contact if I can help. Take care

 

I did acquire the rear crossmember and driveshaft from a 65 C10 with a 350 and a 700r4. Along with that I snaged the motor mount perches and radiator with the transmission cooler in it. Not sure what rearend was in that 65 but I'm hopefully not going to have issues with it mating up to mine. I guess the next thing I'm gonna be looking for is a shifter that looks like it's still a stick. Indicator separate on the dash. Maybe Lokar not shure.
