Hello everyone. This is a re-try at my original crappy intro on HAMB. I realize now that this is more than just another post page, and more like a club of close friends sharing ideas and stories about their rides. I know I can't delete my original post from the board, but I have deleted all references to my company off of my profile. A bit more about myself for those who have asked. I'm located in Portland Oregon, and go to the drags at PIR on a regular basis. I haven't missed a single year of the Portland Swap Meet since I was 5, and we have had a booth for the majority of the last 15 years. Currently my brother, dad and I are working on a '57 Studebaker Scotsman. It came with a Buick 430 w/400 trans. We nosed, decked and shaved it. Channeled it 5" and lowered it 2", a total of an 8" drop with 14" rims. Trimmed the rocker panels and put the fuel filler neck inside the trunk. Hand formed the tail light openings and made custom lenses. I have beeen dreamin about a '27 Tall Top T, chopped 6" for a project that I'm planning to start in the Spring. If anyone knows of one for sale in the Oregon area, drop me a line. I look forward to this Fridays meet at PIR, and hope to talk with a few of you there who can make it. Thanks for reading.
Now that's a much better intro! Sounds like an interesting ride ya'll are workin on...lets see some pics. As for your profile page (or even signature)...I don't see what the harm is in putting a link to your stuff...just don't cram it down everyone's throat. Time and a place for everything. Looks like you're catching on. Dan
I'll second the pic request...had a friend that was looking at a '58 Scotsman 2 door...I've never seen one customized, and I'd love to pass the pictures along. Also, welcome to the HAMB. I give ya credit for your "re-intro"...I read your first one, and knew it was gonna catch ya some flack. But, you did it up right this time around, and you'll be fine. Just don't develop thin skin!!
As a Stude lover myself, I, too, wanna see some pix of that Scotsman! I have a '57 Stude Broadmoor wagon languishing in my garage I'd like to get rid of (mild spam here!), so if anyone is interested, PM me. FWIW Monster, this intro is better than the last...AND it is a club/family/tite knit group...welcome. R-
I've owned my share of Stedybreakers, would love to see pix...oh ya, Welcome....I missed the first intro, so it don't count! CT.
Hullo, "The Monster"....glad to see you survived the verbal lashing/initiation and came back. I,also, am a stude owner with a 53 coupe and I'm a former Portlander too. Welcome.
