Am brand new to the HAMB. Have found useful and priceless info here. I plan to share as much as I learn, or find the info and share with everybody. For those who are older, ( I am 28) and have been around the traditional rod scene since the beginning, this is what I have to say. " To keep this hobby going strong, you must share the info you have, Because without it, the rest of us youngsters are flying blind, and that info may be lost forever. The only reason I say this is because I know people in the traditional rod scene that have been in it for a long time, and it was like pulling teeth to get info, and/or they felt like they should be getting paid for the info. Yes, I think only a true lover of the hobby should get the info and put it to good use. So next time that punk *** kid is asking you what backing plates to use on a model A to run buick finned aluminum drums OUTBOARD of the hubs, just tell him they are 1956 Ford F-250 Rears with dual servo wheel cylinders. Because if you don't tell us, we will find someone on the hamb that will, oh, and that punk *** kid just may be me. Thank you."
Damn striaght, I've been lucky enough to have some helpful older hot rodders, but I've met my share of self righteous "I'm Better than you" Rodders too. Keep the art alive, share what you know.
