I've been hanging around for awile, reading and learning a lot. I am 40 years old and am a mechanic. I am going to night school for welding (1more semester to go) ,and have always wanted a Jalopy for a daily driver. This is my first Ford, A 31 sedan. Just picked it up at Turkey Run swap meet here in Daytona Fl. I plan on doing the usual stuff, 4-6" chop, drop in a V8, and drive. Just the bare minimum. I actually made a bet with some guys from work that I will be able to get it going by next November. I would really like to get it done for the Hot Rod Power Tour, it starts here in Fl next year! I have a 83 Ford van 3/4 ton given to me, and I plan on using the engine and tyranny from it. I would use the rear but it's an 8 luger , and I'm not sure what width I need yet. I already have a 68 Camaro that I am in the middle of redoing in my garage.( On hold) That's why the A is under the carport. I know a lot bought early Camaros but not bought early Fords. That's why I am here. Like I said I'm learning allot!! Thanks to 60sStyle I'll be fabing up my own frame rails out of 2x4 tubing my last semester of welding class! I just got done pulling the fenders off and it seems the frame and front crossmember are cracked.(no big deal) Roger
