Hello all:My name is Paul and I'm north of the 49th. I'm over 50 so I guess I'm in the old fart league.Just retired after 38 years, married and two grandkids.I've been into cars and junkyards eversince I can remember.I'm building a 29 Es*** R/S coupe, flattie power, deuce grille shell, dropped axle and other stuff.I don't have a scanner yet so I can't put any pictures up, however I'm a buddy with Fordnutz; maybe I can talk him into putting something on. Me and Fordnutz are in the same car club(don't know if thats a good thing or not; he is a bit off center!!) I've been lurking for a while and I'm impressed with the knowledge and the people out there.
Here are some pics of Paul's 29 Es*** V-8. That is where the 29EV-8 comes from. He had a really nice chopped full fendered 36 Chrysler 4-door that he just sold. Paul marches to a different drummer. The body on the coupe and the frame have been sandblasted now and the push is on to have a runner for next summer. Pat.
That Chrysler was the wildest!!!! I met you at the 5-6-7 run in MJ a few year ago. Loved the 'keyless entry'!!! You'll be a welcome addition here!!! Welcome!
Howza Brutha, Welcome aboard! That is going to be a really killer ride. Dig the fact you used an off kinda body. Orphans are cool.
[ QUOTE ] That is the tiniest V8 I've ever seen [/ QUOTE ]because it is probably a v8-60. they only get about 60hp.
How many cubes is it? I know the original Ford V8 was 221ci, 65hp, but the engine sure looks bigger to me.
That flatty is a 49 and up style, not a V-8 60. It will look bigger with his finned aluminum heads and dual pot manifold. The large Es*** body makes it look small rite now. Pat.
[ QUOTE ] your hamb name looks alot like 29EHV8?????ballsy move..hope you and shiny get along [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, this`ll be confusing.
So now that you know your "handle" is way to similiar to Shiny's, why don't you change it? Shiny is way to nice to make a big deal about it but consider the rest of us 3,500 members here not to mention all the lurkers. Trying to keep screen names straight, and remembering some real names too, can tend to become difficult. Add to that, screen names that are just ONE letter off!
Thanks guys for all the feedback. Yeah I really like the orphan stuff, mainly 'cause I can't find or afford a '32. I guess I like the challange of trying to get weird stuff to work. The engine is a '51 8BA, but has early heads on it, twin pot intake(94's), Isky 400 Jr cam, Johnsons and Lincoln valve springs.Heads and manifold are Offy and it's running a Merc crank. Oh yeah I used to own a '46 Chevy Aero-sedan(another orphan). Neat car, very sleek and slippery!!!? My plate had "Ol ugly" on it, not me the car!!
