Let me introduce myself - my name is Willie Martin. I'm a 3rd generation Hot Rodder/Shop Owner in So.Cal. My Dad built a 29 A Bone roadster before the war and it ran 99mph @ El Mirage with a Winfield Red Head equipped banger. I have owned my 55 Chev 150 off and on for 30yrs.(10yr hiatus). I just finished the R&C Ego Rama with the 55 so you might recognize the car. We still speek flathead and hydro here at my shop. I'm married with 2 grown (groan?) kids. Glad to be on board.
Well lemme be the first to say hello. And here is a picture of your chebby from when I shot it the other night. Mike
Welcome! Those double-nickel chevies shoulda come from the factory with the rear wheel openings like that. Right on.
Like my friends Loudpedal & Bob K, I'll have to let R&C answer that. We did have a great time with the exception of watching his Dillrdness kiss the k rail of course.
Humm... Whut are them wheel openin's anyway? I'll offer up a prize, say like a free sample of "Real Simulated Motor Oil" for the personal enjoyment of the HAMSTER that can properly identify um. Whut American Classic was the wheel opening donor for Guardrail's fifty-five? Hint: It twerent a Nomad.
