I like bacon. What else do you wanna know? Don't be misled by my handle, I'm 39. I live in Sonoma Ca, used to be a computer guy now employed as a tow truck driver. I found out about this site from a guy I towed a cadillac for. Previous cars incl. 69 camaro and 63 cad. I worked a Specialy parts for awhile- Willys and jeep NOS. I have a 94 jeep trail rig (axles swapped, solid axle conversion-front, home brew suspension and steering NO BOPOS and a york AC compressor-120psi, can drive a 1/2 impact) and a BMW E28 that I built as my DD (incl.engine swap and auto to 5spd conv.). Starting a Flathead project. oh yeah, I also work at a body shop. kid
Chris,Did you know some flatheads get hot enough to fry bacon? Good luck with the engine,,,,I have a flatty in my mor-door and there is a lot of information to me found here! Welcome to the new kinder/gentler HAMB.HRP
what are your plans for the flatty after it is rebuilt? I forgot to mention this in your other post, but as far as trannys go, an s-10/camaro T5 5-speed can be adapted fairly easily. I think Rocky adapted one to a 59 series flatty, if your interested in that route he could fill you in on the way to do it.
How's it going 'wired? A BLT w/cheese cooked on a Flathead grill sound's good. Hey Rash, could you pick up a couple Big Gulp's from Git-n-go, on your way back? Pay you when you get here.
52- oops! 5'11 primer- I've heard that and have actually cooked burritos on my jeep engine. yum HOT burritos when snow camping. edited my above post too so you guys might figure me out better.
Cooking on an engine? Nothing new there! http://www.andersontimer.com/Manifold%20Cooker%20ad%20page.htm
