hey I'm Traci in oklahoma city no hot rod car of my very own yet - my eye is on a 56 Dodge Custom Royal in a lot near me (don't you OKC guys go lookin for it for your wimmen ---its MINE !) but it needs a bit of mechanical work and I'm still saving...she's tri-tone pinks and perfect. Push button shifter and a/c, original interior and chrome teeth and fins...what more could a girl need? I ride in my guy's '52 Buick Super, some of you know him as Greg - he doesn't get online so I read the board now and then and tell him whats going on. See the rest of you later in town or out of town. whew. got that first one out of the way.
you should be more careful.buy the car 1st,then tell other people about it.we have lots of lurkers who lack scruples-george
Tri tone pink?? No GUY will want that. But, if those are original colors, it might be a fairly rare 'La Femme'. Better go snap it up quick.....
yikes hopefully most of the guys in ok that I know are too busy with their own projects to be buying cars for their goils! but now I'm afeared. tri tone pinks is perfect for a lady. and she's 4 door so ... thats not AS desireable. I hope she waits for me.
Yikes! I've been lookin' for a tri-pink 4-door w/ typewriter trans for years! Not really - you go ahead... Welcome - these people will have your Mopar in the nines in no time...
Has anyone else noticed that since her name isn't feminine, and she said nothing about being a "chicky" (god that word bothers me) in her post title, this poor little post has only had 154 hits after a couple days. HAMB guys, I tell ya..... Welcome to the HAMB redram, good to see you've distinguished the difference between hot rod board and Rockabilly dating service! Kris
welcome. I found this pic on the net. Is it pink and black like this? I think this looks pretty cool and I'm a guy. Not that I would choose pink though!
I once bought a '52 Buick 2dr post. The first wife said that she wouldn't ride in it, too ugly. I thought it looked great. You must have more class than she did. Welcome. pigpen
RedRam, if that's a rare "LaFemme" model that was put out to cater to the ladies, well, it's um, RARE and should be snapped up immediately. But even if not a LaFemme, those are pretty cruisers. I'm thinking white tuck 'n roll interior, medium whitewalls, possibly some rearward-pointing electric radio antennas a la Impala, 2" suspension drop, maybe some other hubcaps like Olds or something, and without a rear wheel skirt. My ideas only, but those are good looking cars as-is. No need to get radical with them, just shine the chrome up inside and out, nice paint, nice seats, and reliable running gear and she's good to go! Bonus if you actually get the Red Ram baby Dodge hemi in it.
we'll see if this works its Greg's 52 Buick Super hardtop Lowlita she looks better with the back windows down and we still need a back seat! no tellin if I followed the FAQ instructions to the T. I don't think the Dodge is a LaFemme - weren't they 2 doors? and the man says she has a SUPER Red ram engine, I saw the red, but didn't see the Super, I need another peep. she's pink and darker pink/burgundy on the tri-tone. no black. gaaaahd. I hope she waits for me. we gotta sell a few things first.
Mopar/Dodge heads... I'm not sure of the diff between the La Salle and La Femme. I think they are both 2 doors ... I read somewhere that they used to put a matching cosmetics kit in the trunk, I bet for the La Femme. an old ad stated matching umbrellas back then too ~ nice!
[ QUOTE ] pigpen, is that what caused the divorce? people have been murdered for less than that! [/ QUOTE ] That's not what caused the divorce. She got fat and ugly and developed a hard look and a sharp tongue, and alas, I became enamored with another. Number two only lasted two years. She developed a harder look and a sharper tongue. Hated my '55 PU. When I returned from a wartime cruise on the USS Kitty Hawk, alas, she had run off with another. And so goes the twisted story of the pigpen. To be continued.... pigpen "And that's the way it was, movin' west". (Wagon Train)

Welcome. pigpen [/ QUOTE ] mean old girl I ride around with no back seat no a/c, no paint and no wipers! pigpen go back one page to see how nice she looks in faded black primer...she gets a fresh coat 2x per year before we head to Austin for the roundup or nostalgia drags we took a girlfiend of mine around one time and she bitched about the "fumes" cause we had holes in the floor. no more rides for fiends.

Welcome. pigpen [/ QUOTE ] mean old girl I ride around with no back seat no a/c, no paint and no wipers!.... She wasn't mean, just a little snooty in her own way. I've looked at your pic of the Buick more than once. I like it a lot. Keep the windows rolled down with that fume thing going on. Exaust fumes can put you to sleep for a very long time! Why don't you enter the Buick in the World of Wheels show in Wichita Falls, Feb. 4-5-6. I'll have my '27 T there. Contact Jeff Coley @ www.wehaveneatstuff.com pigpen [/ QUOTE ]
