I'll try this again. My name is Vic Piano. I've been into Flathead Fords for most of my life. I like em stock, custom, hot rod, rat rod and just about any way you can run em. I'm in the process of finishing (with the help of some good friends)a '51 F-1 with a "fullhouse" Flathead. Right now my driver is a '39 Ford Convt. Sedan. I'm a fan of rag tops and I have several in addition to the '39 CS. They all run Flatheads from stock to hot. I just picked up a '49 Lincoln Cosmo Convt with the 337 Flathead, 3 speed w/overdrive. This is my first 337 so, if any of you have worked on them, I'd appreciate any tips. My web site is www.flatheads.biz.
You run Fordbarn? That's awesome, welcome to the HAMB. Nice cars in your gallery. What's the story on that 37(?) with flames? Is that channeled?
Welcome Vic! What part of Florida are you from? Maybe you can make it to our annual car show on February 13 in Orlando (and bring a lot of your friends). Go to our website for details www.rumblersorlando.com Mike Rumblers Orlando CC
No, I can't take credit for FordBarn. I link to them from my site but it is run by Shelly & Peter.
Welcome Vic, Always happy to see another flathead guru on board. Welcome to the Hamb! Here's my latest winter project.
Looking good. That's a tight fit. All the photos I try to post come back as too big... How do you post photos?
The easiest way would be to start a photo album on the web in places like Photobucket or your own website. You can then link them to these posts by hitting the image ****on and pasting in your address. Another way is to directly download to the website. Only it takes up bandwidth here. On occasion you can downsize your pics to a more acceptable size. Use the Infaview program. Its the easiest to use for downsizing. Just type the name into Google and you will find a downloading site. Welcome Vic! from your buddy Mike T. Glad to see you here, you'll enjoy this place. All kinds of stuff to learn here. Which car are you taking to the Rumblers show??? Talk to ya soon!
I check properties, then save to a zip disc. If it's below 70,000 bits it will post. Here's your '51. pigpen
Welcome vic. Maybe we will see you at the rumblers show. flat is where it at p.s petejoe you motor just gave me a woody.
Hey Vic, Welcome aboard. I don't know if I know you, but I live in Tampa as well, along with DV8, MBL, Sinner, and a few others. That is a good find with that Lincoln, both car and motor. It puts out about 151 hp stock, and you don't see many of those around; they also used it in the F-1 industrial truck. Hope to meet up soon; drop me a line if you feel like it. Mike
Welcome Vic! Some good work gets done in Tampa area...despite what some say. Shoot a PM or e-mail...we'll be working on my 26T and dv8's 30 Hemi roadster this weekend. Tim MBL
Yep...Welcome! You're welcome to swing by and check things out if you would like. We've got flatheads too!! All over the shop floor.
Hey Vic, Welcome from another fordbarner. You always had plenty to offer there. Your expertise will be appreciated here too. Are you going to run for EFV8 rep again this year? You'll get my vote again. Paul
I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome to the H.A.M.B., I appreciate it. I don't think that I'll run again for the South East Directors spot on the EFV8 Club (I lost by 40 votes). Too many of the members don't appreciate Hot Rods and don't want them to be a part of the club. Most of our Flatheads are Hot Rods. I'm planning on driving our '51 F-1 to the Eastern Meet in North Georgia this June. The '51's got a "Full House" Flathead...
