I've been interested in old (usually pre-60) cars for a long time. I'm not from a family of car people, or an area with a rod scene. I've always driven whatever I could afford at the time. Buying a car that i chose just because I like it is new to me. So new in fact, I'm arranging to have it hauled home tomorrow. It's a '40 Plymouth Four-door sedan, suicide rear doors. This thing is bone stock, barn kept for 64 years. Immaculate chrome, solid as can be. A little work will get it inspectable and it will be my daily driver. I've been lurking for a while, so I've got a feel for what you're about, and it's good to see a place where tradition matters. That's all i got for now.
Will do, thanks, Slide. Should be today or tomorrow. Just ordered the shop manual 5 minutes ago. Gonna clean it out this weekend, and hopefully start work next week. The goal is to have it inspected and primed for the Hoedown in Deleware (mid sept.)
