Hi all, My name is Hugo, I live in the Netherlands, I have a marvellous family and a marvellous job, both taking one heck of a lot of spare time. Money is generated by the latter and magically vaporised by the first. In my previous house I had a large garage / workshop, now I have a little garden shed. Hence, I started a project. Well, it is not really a project yet, I just bought a wreck and I am making big plans. I started a blog about it: http://1929chevytruck.blogspot.nl/ My rough outline is: - Chevy straight six 250 or if I can find it 292, with a single four barrel, simple headers, etc, about 250 300 bhp target. - Jaguar IRS. I have designed a bolt-on sub frame to hold it to the original frame without welding. Well see how that pans out. - Jaguar XJS front suspension. I again have designed a sub frame - Modern electrics. - (Almost) standard body work, maybe a little chop. I have found several forums and dont really know where to land. I tried VCCA to find the wreck, which worked, but they are not very hot-roddish. I found some hot rod forums, not all to my liking. So I stumbled across this here forum, and it seems to fit. I hope the feeling is mutual. For the near future I will probably be mostly lurking in the background, reading, and working the cl***ifieds to acquire bits and pieces. I might part with some parts of the current truck, who knows. Cheers, Hugo
Hello, Welcome to the HAMB. You may want to try PreWarCar.com for some missing pieces, great website based in the Neatherlands, not Hot Rod, but a great site for Pre 1940 vehicles. Bob
