Introducing: Motor Speedway NJ

Make sure you have good brakes it was a little scary trying to stop my 53 in time and traction was almost none existent. That said I cant wait to go with the 56 next time.

Jack, there isnt anything going on this week, the next date is the 11th... The added date should probably be july 26th as that is the old time drags haha we are still working out the bugs in all of our flyers and printed stuff.

 

Ok... 1st thing is first! I'd like to publicly apologize for coming down on the Golden Gup's car. Or by chance offending that hell of a nice guy, or any of his friends...it was not my intent. And thanks for reminding me that he is indeed a Jersey Icon. But I have news for you... he is also a West Coast "Icon" now! As me a legends of California speed and sport all spoke about the unfortunate computer bullshit that happened over this last week. Now the Golden Gup is bi-coastal too! See... good does sometimes come from bad.

I even called the Gup up and spoke with him... he understood completely what we are trying to do and fully supports it. Now for more good news... I've extended an invitation to the Gup to DRAG along some records next time and show us what he's got! Turns out that we might not agree about cars... but we do have the same love of music!!! So look out for Gup someday soon in the Motor Speedway's DJ booth. Where we spin records on turntables and use tubes to carry them CrAzY sounds!!!

Ok, secondly... I will be setting up all kinds of areas for all kinds of cars.... this place is going to be insane when we are done... trust me, be patient! Really, we are only two men, or one man, one 1/2 a man as I like to call it. Poor little Kevin is only 19, hahahaa. Be patient, it's coming!

Unfortunately, we Oilers are all spread apart... and all have full time gigs. So me and Kevin and my Oiler brothers are doing this for the love of doing something we believe in... cause there is no money! And never enough time.

Now third... And I'm going to take my own advice here. If you don't have something nice to say... just don't say it! Feelings get hurt... NOT COOL!

OK, fourth and final. Don't like what I or we do... just don't come. Believe me, I want you all to be happy... and soon it will be well oiled and working properly. But we need time... we are exhausted, under payed, and we dont need to be beat up on, on-line. I jumped on the Gup, because I feel attacked on here sometimes.... lets cut all this shit out! It's not fair to anyone. I feel horrible that I disrespected the Gup trying to get my dumb point across.

Build cars, race cars, show cars, ...lets have fun! Be nice to your neighbor...

If anyone does not like my show... hopefully it will fuel you to do your own show. Cause that's what we need... more fun! Less bullshit. I love you... Motor Speedway loves you, and the Golden Gup... love you. Long live the GUP! Now...see you at the RACES!

 

I bought a genuine P-38 tank this weekend. Please someone tell that your building something to beat the pants off me!

I found an add in a pile of crap on a table, called the guy, went to see it... and bought it on the spot. Still in its crate from the war. You'll see it soon... going over to West Palm st.



Thanks to Lucky at Old Crow for letting me and the kid sleep in the camper... home away from home! Gonna miss showering under the hose for all the neighbors to see.

Met some life long friends this past week... it is an amazing hot rod world we have. You guys are all welcome here anytime... try December. Hahahaa. You know who you are!

Verne... what a sick trip! Been to Cali. many of times, seen it all I thought, met amazing people too... legends, dirt bags, you name it. But this... was one magical trip!

Jim Nelson cried in my arms with love and hope for the next generation to be as passionate about our hobby and friends as he still is. He saw I have the same love and was honored to finally meet some boys whom get it. Although that was mind blowing to whiteness, I experienced that with my new Burbank brothers too. We have a long hot rodding life of fun and good times ahead! Thanks for taking us in!

This weekend, though, with the Left Coast invasion, and the Old Time Drags, is a can't miss goal!
If we're broke before noon, like in Ohio, I guess we'll just keep the beer barn occuppied...

Had an incredible time at Motor Speedway and looking forward to the 11th! Great people, vibe, and basic pure fun! Added a Yapp dual updraft intake and maybe I can break 13s.
