    Some details...

Yes, the 1/8TH mile track is separate from the 1/4. They run parallel with each other, the 1/8Th starts where about the 1/4's finish line is. There are not many 1/8TH mile tracks left, most run their 1/8TH on the 1/4.

The bar is being built by me and my best-est bud R.Stew. Some locals... would know of us from this place...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLkQR2wHLz0

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Itpn_-CnQfg&feature=related

So... lets say, we like building!

The bar/barn will be 24 x 24 square, with a 17 foot peak. Board and batten in style like the Amish. It will be littered with all my parts and B.S. I've collected over the years... Two gorgeous bartenders where the beers flow!

There will be small bands indoors some nights, with lots of picnic tables a spots to park outside and listen. I also have some old strung lights I made years ago for an old job....ambiance at it's finest! Lets NECK! No, not us.... with chicks!

I will also be shipping in a few friends/bands from Cali. and other parts... I'm hoping at this moment to book the MUMMIES... waiting for the word. But you can definitely expect the same good stuff from me. We have two very large outside stages for the big nights.

The tower is in operation! Expect some pretty serious, and some pretty exciting commentary. Top secret at this point... but we have a few other exciting people flying in, stay tuned!

The strip... This all came about as E Town wanted me to do a car show, and I talked them into letting me provide what we desperately need! A place to run early hot rods, not just sit and stare at them. I have a super great track guy working with me whom is more then excited to get this happening....stay tuned for all the happs! We are for sure pushing early hop ups, hot rods, and motorbikes... But you can bet on some vintage rails, a slew of Gasser's, two belly tanks, a few divisions of the AMCA whom wanna run old Knuckleheads and flatties, etc. will be here. Each day i hear of more guys with cool stuff stashed away wanting to dust em off and run them. Can't even wait!

I'm currently working on having some old diggers and pretty neat stuff for E Town's annual "Old Time Drags" We will be running our 1/8TH on this Sunday as well. All the 60's and 70's stuff will be over on the 1/4, and the early goodies will be on the 1/8TH. SUNDAY, JULY 26TH

Drive in Movies... two a night, at dark! We will also be putting some old drag footage together so there will always something to watch during the nights.

    More soon...

    Hey,
Most often it will be me speaking from Motor Speedway(Dirtyest Devil)

Some of you may know the Van Horton bros. from here too. They are a set of twins that the stork dropped off at my house/garage one day, Via...the Hamb.

These guys have become like little bro's to me. So, ...often they may jump on and give some facts as they help me. I have a lot of stuff going on and I'm a lucky guy to have their help! Good little dudes with lots of heart, style, and grace. Thanks boys!

... it probable doesn't hurt that I dangle the ideas of beautiful girls soon to be surrounding them and all the finest of hot rod parts into their heads, hahhaaa.

    We'll keep you updated!

Merch too: shirts, water slides, programs, varsity jackets, etc.

We also have a king of the strip campaign happening too!
Winner gets to run a Motor Speedway, King of the Strip varsity jacket for the season. But the jacket is back up for grabs at the end of the season.

The Injectors and the Dead Man's Curve guys seem to think they are going to nab it early... we'll see!

I've asked the owners to let me keep it cheap... for the working class, or the non-working class as we have all come to be lately.

Don't wanna quote yet as not all is in place... but it will be affordable, I promise.

Sounds awesome. I'd love to check it out and meet some fellow jersey hot rodders. Too bad my truck is still just a pile of parts. :(

seriously everyone there is so much cool stuff in the works! This will be the perfect escape for everyone who is tired of the usual car show formula of lawn chairs in a paking lot with a cheesey DJ haha... Its time that we actually get involved in the hobby again and get active and do what we build our cars for... to GO FAST and have fun!!!!

Holy shit, I actually have a reason to get an appropriate clutch in my ride and not the 80 dollar zoom clutch I thought would clamp a 400hp sbc. What are the tech requirements going to be like Mel?

Congrats Mel and crew for getting this up and running! It must be a ton of work and I'm sure folks like us up and down the east coast will appreciate it. Looking forward to coming down to check it all out and meet you guys in person.

i plan on trying to attend a few of these as a spectator while i am still in Philly. Maybe by then i might have a nice car to cruise there in.

  20. looking forward to a bunch of roadrats and blvd bombers and some stragglers coming from long island for your show. sounds awesome, you need to put more of what we can bring up so as not to confuse the people what kind of cars that could get in.

  25. Funny Car Reunion is Sunday 07/26. That would be a great weekend.

  26. H ey guys.... so many questions. I'll be back in a bit.

I finally just got my welder back and I have to get out in garage.... been caught up with track stuff all morning.

    I'll have all your anwsers...

  27. Ok, I can't concentrate on my tasks at hand out in garage.

I keep thinking bout what your all asking.... so I'll be right back with responces to your questions.

  28. Thanks Flash!
I can wait to see the Alter Boys cars down here... I'll email you about our dates and which ones will be imporatnt for you guys to get down here for. Not that all... are not important... but a few of the shows will be special in certain ways... added bonus!

  29. Yes Jack! Please run your Lyndwood!

These Sat.'s, which are the days we will be drag racing, ...cars need to run mufflers of some sort, or just a baffle. The law has us pinned on Sat.'s Open headers with a baffle is cool though!!! Some may have to build headers with baffles... small price to pay to run the good stuff. Basic tech for safety, seat belts needed with a secure anchor, helmets a must. There will be rules for bigger cubic inches, etc. Email me for any direct questions at, motorspeedwaynj@yahoo.com

I will also have a heavy stock of baffles on hand as well.

I have a lot of friends bringing out some pretty neat stuff... we'll make things work!

*****************Sunday July 26Th is Eglishtowns "Old Time Drags"**************

E Town will be running their 1/4 with 50's 60's and 70's cars. Lots of funny cars, rails, all kinds of cool stuff. We, the 1/8TH "Motor Speedway" will be in full action on this Sunday too!

All out early diggers, tanks, hopped banger's and flatties, gassers, 30's open roadsters and coupes, etc. on the 1/8Th.

We are getting all the details and art ready to announce the things coming. Takes time, so I wanted to at least get you the dates. (SEE ABOVE)

I have a lot of great things in store. The late Wally(father of the NHRA)Parks son, Richard Parks is fully behind this track. He stated that it is the best thing he has heard of in a decade. I plan to prove him right! I am working with some great people that are helping to fly in some of the early pioneers of Hot Rodding and drag racing. Stay tuned!

We are basically working against a crummy schedule this year as I was asked a little late to get involved. By next year we will be in full swing. I had some major things on the table that my schedule may not allow me to do right off the bat, but believe me, they are coming!!! By next year I will run this place on Fridays, Sat's, and Sunday. I also have the OK to use the 1/4 if something is too big for our 1/8TH.

Just let me get started.... and all will fall into place.

This year, we really want to concentrate on guys that build cars... to actually use them. Real hot rodding at it's finest. Vintage bikes too...

Lets face it, guys like Harry Miller, Nick Arias, Navarro, Dick Kraft, Edlebrock, Tom Cobb, etc, etc, etc, were poor men that had a need to build and go fast. (Cobb had loot) It's hot rodders like these that pushed the market and the evolution of racing. We hot rodders need to be in our garages and on the track... not cruise nights.

This will be an old time track... all Car clubs or individuals are welcome to get serious about racing, run their cars, and speed trials will be documented.

No new motors, no poorly built rat rods with rats glued to them....no B.S.

SBC stuff is to allowed(Mike47), I'm not going to get crazy on you here. But if your on the Hamb, hopefully you understand where I'm coming from as far as good solid cars.

I will not be over run by the RAT ROD crowd.... I'll go hide in my garage for another two years!

There will be a giant parking lot for car shows, watching the strip, or just watching movies and listening to great music. Not all cars are for racing, not all people want to be involved. So there will be plenty of activities for us all. i have two giant outdoor stages, just wait... the good stuff is coming!

Custom guys are welcome to run their stuff if they like. But We need to represent with some real East Coast customs! I've been talking with the great Anthony White, aka 00Mack as he understands quality and the great history from our coast.
I'm looking for guys that get the East Coast sled and custom scene. We need real custom shows again! Any of you CC clubs that also realize that the so called "scene" lacks! Get involved! You all know as well as I that their are some serious cars and gents hiding stuff that don't venture out cause the scene sucks! I aim to dig em up, so we can all learn before they leave us. I love customs ...not enough real custom shows anymore! I will also be fying some of the West Coast greats... stay tuned.

All cars are welcome close to the action. I don't wish to exclude anyone...

This will be a learning experience for us all. You can bet on some pretty serious educational/history events coming too.

I encourage people that sleep and breathe this life to reach out. I need help! I want to see car clubs come together... lets learn, lets help, lets fucking take back the East Coast!

    Things to come:
I'm working on using the road course out here for early T and A races, building a dirt hill to climb for all of us, and get this... my very own Wall of Death! Wood for the "Wall of Death" is being milled right now..., add sinister laughs.

Custom guys....reach out! Lets take it back!
