    CGASWILLYS, no problem, Im kicking myself in the ass right now cause I drove my 55 pick up daily driver to the show because my '34 was giving me some problems...I changed out the cap, rotor and points and whala, runs strong again!! (still smokes like a crack whore...51 Merc comming this winter) Wish I did this sooner to drive the '34 down....my 55 with its power steering/power brakes and cd player was the rattiest (non-trad car) there but I made it... At least I run bias plys daily...allways fun! I only missed 1 motor speedway since the 1st one.....keep this alive! Im sure the Choppers (very cool dudes) are used to bigger shows but the East Coast has to step up...this is the time! The Alter boys and Oilers are reppin the East Coast with some kick ass traditional cars and I know there are more people out there with cool cars that should make it out.....The Injectors and Dead Man's Curve guys also represented nicely!! Thanks to the Phantoms CC, who I met driving on the Parkway and showed me a new way to get to the Speedway...Im a benny! See ya's next Saturday! ~E

    Thanks, we had a blast just making passes one after the other. I would have made more runs and revved it higher but being 5 hours from home I didn't want to break anything serious. You'll notice in the picture of the engine I reinstalled the 2x2 edmunds, the 4x2 needs to be on a hopped up engine to really perform correctly, my 324 is basically stock which really need the plain ole' 2x2.

    I just couldn't get the jump on Eli's 364 nailhead with 4:11 gears. My coupe has 3:55's with 7.50-16's in the rear, makes for nice cruising speeds but no so good racing!.....SHIT..... I had a blast. Who owns that bitchin' 28-29 rpu with the banger in it??? What a beautiful hot rod.

    man was saturday such a good show! only thing i would change would be MORE KUSTOMS! i think we were a little outnumbered. awesome turnout though! do it again!

    This will go down as one of our most memorable trips, what a great weekend! Hanging out with the Oilers before and after the show, crusing late nights at Asbury Park, what a rad time this was. Thanks first to Mel and his "family", what can we say, great hosts! With all the distractions going on and still able to take care of us the way that you did, amazing.

    Great to see the Alter Boys, good times hanging with you guys, it don't get better! Injectors good seeing you all there, man this show had too many cool hot rods, haha...

    Gerry glad to see your coupe in person, thanks for letting us check out your photos and the knife, wow!

    Thanks to all who just took the time to come up and say hi, it all made the trip worth while.

    I was so overwhelmed with Sat., I had no words. Still don't.

    I will say this.... if we stick together... we can change the world! Saw some great friends on Saturday that finally made it...so great to see you! If you tell three people, we'll soon take NJ and the East Coast back. We can do it... support each other, help your brothers out, get them cars up and running, lets race!

    Jeremy(DirtyPetcock) said it before... It was about you... not us. Keep coming, keep it simple, keep it real up in da field! This is what the kids tell me anyway.

    Choppers... see ya soon! No words, you guys know what I mean... I think? hahahaa.

    Alter Boys... see you in Sept. Support these brothers in arms. Flaven is a sexy mofo, all man! You missed the weenie roast, now I owe you one.

    Friends... too many of you to thank, but you know I know whom you are. Thanx is no way good enough.

    Brian.... holy shit was that film amazing on the big screen! Wow... anyone get any pics of the screen?

    Saturday was great! I have to admit, I've become a bit jaded by most shows lately, going to the same type of place and seeing the same cars, but this really was a breath of fresh air.

    How often do you get to see some bad ass cars at a show, then see those same bad ass cars get out onto the track and race? Simply amazing. I got to see some old friends who have been talking sh*t to each other for ever about who's car is faster, and blah, blah, blah... but on Saturday they got to put an end to that argument. That's the way it should be, Hot Rods are just that, Hot Rods. They're not full scale models, they're meant to be driven, raced, broken and fixed.

    It was great to see The Choppers and The Alter Boys and a bunch of other friends.

    Mel, Mike, Jeremy and The Van Horton brothers, you guys are doing a great job. I hope that everyone can see and appreciate what you guys are doing and help keep it going.

    We read about how this is the way it "used to be" in books and magazines, then complain about how it's not that way anymore... Well guess what? It's that way again at Motor Speedway in Jersey, let's keep this alive!

    Saturday evening was a night that will go down in my mental Raceway Park history book. In my 9 years working at the track, Saturday night had to be the coolest event of all. I thought that I was in the midlde of some some freaky Hollywood B movie. Fantastic cars, great band, great people. We gotta do this more often!

    I cant put into words this weekend, it was great to finally have all of our hard work pay off... but more importantly i am so stoked about all of the people we all met and that i can call the Choppers my friends... they are a great bunch of guys for sure and i really appreciate them commign out and hanging for our event. The Altar boys are all stars for driving down too and i hope to see them in the future and shake hands with them next time! And i cant forget to thanks our regulars the road rats, The Sled Gods and our new ife long friend Dave Stein, they come every event, they race every event, and they only have good things to say, and they are all a great group of people... haha enough praise and ass kissing from me for now...

    Tell your friends and bring your cars this saturday, lets see if we can top last saturday!

    I will be spreading the word this Thursday at the Cruise night in Freehold. There are usually a couple hundred cars and a good number of them would fit in.

    I haven't looked but is there a new flyer for this weekend? I will print out a bunch to take with me.

    I'm a little bummed that we didn't get a chance to chat about 33 and 34 coupes.

    I'm visiting my sister in L.A. this fall so maybe we can meet up and do a few shows.
