thats cool that there is parking for cruisers and non go fast cars, my bel air is just a cruiser/custom, but i love old drag history and wanna build a nostalgia race car next/soon, cant wait for this event, you guys should show the worlds fastest indian one night

  4. Hell yeah. Lots of parking for customs, stockers, etc. And thats what I wanna here... guys wanting to build stuff to beat on!

Clear a few more things up.... cars pre 64 get into the grounds for all the activities, I'm hoping to see little sections of cultures evolve and mark there territory. There is a lot of room out here!

I'm talking with some custom guys and everyone seems excited to have a place again.

I will be making exceptions on the track for autos dateing into 65.... but the shit has got to be right. Lettered, fenderwells, monsters...

We are running rails guys! But you need to build some headers for the Sat.'s if you wanna run. A small price to pay to be able to run an old Lyndwood or Dragmaster!

There are so many cool details that I want to share, but not online. Your just going to have to see it.

There will be sections for car clubs so you can stick together and party... No outside beverages... one strike your out. Don't ruin it for yourself or car club... beers will be cheap! I was a drinker, I know how you like em... warm, and cheap. Real warm...

I'll go, if they let my 61 Dodge in! I don't think I'll have the 46 Chevy done by then. Sounds like fun.

This is the best news I've heard in a long time, finally something HUGE in my "backyard", it'll be nice to see some real cars built by real people, I'm so tired of searching the local car shows for that one car the average person walks past because they don't have a clue. This is the type of thing I've dreamed about... The type of things I've read countless posts and drooled over wishing they weren't 1000 or 2000 miles away.... Thank you! I can't wait even if I do have to walk from the far end of the parking lot for a while!!!

I turned a few onto this already, we'll be there strong.

  11. Bring the CUSTOM'S!!!

The drag strip is going to go off, ...but I want as much custom action in the lot as well. It is time we guys that get the traditional scene, whether it be hot rods, or customs, or vintage drag cars, ban together.

Damn...it all sounded pretty cool, especially with the only small-time thing going on around here nostalgically being the Phila. Modifiers, which sucks really, these days, but then I read pre-'58.
That rules out my race truck, its a '58...
Hope you guys have fun, anyway!
    I'll come spectate, at least...

  13. Whoa... Hazlet! I went to summer school there, ...every year!

Me and my buddies skipped school one day and ventured over to Hazlet cause they let you guys out for lunch. We went to hit on the girls....

Unfortunately, we ran over a girl in a 68 GTO named "Lil" She survived, and we got brought back to school by the FUZZ!

Now, a local FUZZZ... owns "LIL". Isn't it funny how the world works?

Man, I gotta write a book...

  14. 1958.... your in!

  15. This is eaxctly what I told the owners... if i want vintage bike/auto parts or wanna see a Wall of Death or anything interesting.... I have to travel out of state to see it. Not anymore...

I have three amazing things happening for next year... stay tuned!

Here is our chance guys! a place to use our hot rods for what they were built for. If we all come togeather and get the word out we can have some fun events. E Town is a perfect location!

Hey Mel, This is what I wanna bring up, its almost ready, but, I ain't afraid to tell you it isn't one-hunnert percent period correct.
It was built to straddle the fine lines btwn. RELIABLE drag car ( real suspension, MSD ignition...), cost-effectiveness ( 385 series Ford BB )
and, otherwise, a dead-nuts adherance to the late sixties rules for the non-blown Gas classes. I'm only checking because I'm about an hour and a half away, so I want to be sure I don't get sent packing. Its a hike, but one I'd GLADLY make OFTEN, since the drag scene sucks so bad around here for nostalgic machines...Just want to be on the same page.
By the way, either way, this is a great shot in the arm for the East, as far as events like this go! I'll be there either way...
As far as Open headers go, we don't need collector mufflers do we? Just an insert baffle will do? I know E-town has the regs...
    Thanks,
    Mark.

Probably....not. A lot going on. Hard to put the time here with other priorities. Shop is too small and there's no room for my car with customer cars and bikes all over the place. Working on the solution as we speak.
