Washed the old girl up yesterday. Cleaned the junk out of the interior. Got a few more interior trim pieces put on. Taking her to Bisbee for the Copper Classic Car Show. First show I'll have had her in. She's not perfect - but this should be fun!
Went to the Bisbee Copper Classic Car Show yesterday. Kind of a disappointment really. Usually this event is held on the main drag near all the shops. This year they moved it next to the court house at the Church lot. Not as fun or accessible really. Parking is better - but no shade, no shops, and kind of a let down. The show itself was good though - plenty of cars. Some really nice ones. As I guessed I was the only Edsel. The paint is starting to show its age on the old girl, but she got a LOT of comments. Mostly from people telling stories about going across country with their parents when they were kids. Here's a few pics of how she cleaned up.
rprice76 Great work that you have been doing on your '59 Villager. I have one also that I absolutely love to drive and work on. Please let me know if you have any questions that I can help you out with or pics (since mine is mostly all original)...I'm learning about these amazing vehicles just like yourself. My options include: 332 V8, 2 Speed Auto, PS, PB, 9 Passenger, dealer installed A/C. My next project is replacing the cargo mating with the product being sold here: http://www.ciadellainteriors.com/products.php They have similar vinyl decking that was used on our vehicles. I'm going to use their off-yellow for my wagon. -David
