Hi guys,my name is René and i am living in the Netherlands near Amsterdam. I am a great fan of traditional hotrods the kind you guys build in the states. Sadly overhere it is not possible to drive a traditional fenderless loud hotrod, the law will put you out of business as soon you get it on the road. Because of that i am building a kind of mild hotrod completely road legal. Some time ago i bought a '48 Ford Anglia lhd, very rare car overhere,it is probably the only flatnose Anglia in the Netherlands. Been working for 16 months on it now and it's almost done. I don't know if it is allowed to make a build thread here because it is not a USA car but British. I would love to put a big V8 in the car but taks and gas prices are ridiculous high overhere so i made the choice to a 4 cylinder engine with more horsepower than the stock engine. Excuses for the bad spelling but English is'nt my native lingo and in the early days i was'nt paying attention on English cl***es..... Greetz René
Welkom/welcome Rene from the Netherlands too. A Ford Anglia or Popular from 1948 is definitaly hotrod material and there is no rule that your car must be made in the USA. Show us what you got with plenty of pics. Groeten Hennie

Thanks for the warm welcome, got more replies in 5 hours than i recieved in 1 year on a dutch hotrod forum......... Regarding to the V8......i want to use the Ford as a daily driver in the summer and with a V8 i'll be too many times at the gas station.........i am not rich..... As soon as i figure out how to post pictures i will show the car. René
René, don't worry too much about what people on here tell you to do. You do what works for you. No need for apologies, etc. Pictures can be done easily using a free account with Photobucket.com. Simply upload the pictures to that site, and then copy the URL link that they provide in your posts. There's a couple answers here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/faq.php?s=&do=search&q=picture***atch=all&***lesonly=0
