    Plan B is another 9" this time out of a 66 f150.
Bent one is on the top.

My buddy does a lot of wheeling and dealing. He found me this turtle deck for $200. Seems like a great deal to me!

'27 Turtledeck for $200 is a great deal! Deck lid you have a choice: Keep looking or get a repop inner frame and a skin.
I have a '27 tub, rear half of body was fire damaged, severe. A HAMB member bought a '27 tub body from another HAMB member, was building a 'T' bucket.
He sold me the rear half, with doors, cheap ($400) It had been soda blasted and primered. My wife and I drove North an hour in my '55 F100, got offers on the way back.
Guys honking, rolling down windows: "Want to sell that 'T'?" Sorry, fellas...I have grandchildren to stick in there...

I'd like to get your input on the frame I'm building. I'll outline my plan so far.

I made the back half so that the turtle deck sits right on top. It's 2"x4" 10 gauge. I may have to c notch it a little and make a swoopy transition below it to the 32 frame ends

I'm currently cutting up a model A frame for the inner X member I see on a lot of frames.
I'm sure I'll have to clearance the front kickout for the pedals. I'm planning to put a mirror of it on the passenger side.

What are your thoughts? Am I going too far or not? Any alternatives you may have are always welcome. Thanks for your time.

F-1 brakes on the 48 axle fit like a glove. I did have to grind the inner bearing for the larger shoulder radii. IMG_20220911_160207456.jpg

Unfortunately I have blown apart the T and moved it to the back yard.

Fortunately my son has embraced the car culture and picked this non-hamb friendly project

It's mostly very nice, just a bit of rot in the floorboards and front subframe.

    Wish us luck

That little Opel is a hoot to bomb around town it, nothing better than driving a slow car fast ;)

Time to tear into these old polys.
I found a local machine shop that is interested in working on one for me.

When you drive it and get a lot of vibration, consider the loose, not centered adapters

    I'm still alive :D
Between installing solar on the house and my wife's health, the T has just been gathering dust.

But I'm back at it. Finished the rear suspension and got the body mounted, also patched the worst of the holes

Last fall my son and I traveled half way across the globe to Japan.

Then half way between home and work a school bus hits Dad's Chevelle

I've got the settlement, so I'm doing all the repairs now.
