Hello: Quite new, Quite green but I have the pedigree for a rod lover. My late father instilled quite early in me the pride of taking a piece of **** and making it your piece of ****. Like most of the new generation, I cut my teeth on Hot Rod, Custom Rodder and Street Rodder. These mags fed my thirst for knowledge and undoubtedly led me to my career as an English Teacher. Today I have several projects, as I'm sure we all have, and a young family. I've been concentrating on the house, family and paying bills. I'm sure you all can relate. Finally, some free time has opened up and I ready to begin the buildup of my '29 roadster, but first, let me tell you how this car came about. My father bought the car in 1984. All steel, high boy, American Graffiti style. He drove it to the Nats that year and then promptly tore it down. Four Bars and coils overs front and rear were installed and there it sat. The suspension was finished but my dad could never concentrate on one car for long so there it sat until this past spring. Six months after my father's funeral, I had it on a trailer headed for my new garage. I built it specifically for this car. I had to. I'm going to finish what my dad started. And so, with your help, I hope you'll be able to give me a hand. I can't promise that my posts will reflect regular progress but I'll try!
