Hi, I´m new to this board, I heard of it from some guys from the oith (german hot rod forum). So here´s a little information about myself. I´m from Munich Germany (where the Oktoberfest is every year . I´m into working and driving old cars since I got my driving licence in 1998. Right now I´m working on a 1956 Pontiac and a VW Bug. Also I just bought a 1950 Ford Coupe that still is in California. Some pictures of my cars and of events can be seen on my webiste (dont wonder of the fact that it is a onlineshop for mountainbike stuff) www.eightcycles.com ("lifestyle" / events / pictures-cars). I´m coming over to the states to do a little roadtrip in my 1950 Ford that I bought near LA. My problem is that I wanted to register the car when I´m there (on my name) but my insurace just told me yesterday that they won´t insure me because the car is too old (They only do cars up to 20 years). Does anyone here in this forum work for a car insurace? I just need a insurance for one month, I will ship the car after my trip to germany. Also I heard that car dealer can give me plates that will work for some weeks, maybe I can use those (two times)? I´m in the states from the 06. of sept. to 07. oktober. If someone can help me, please let me know. Greeting From germany FloW.
