I would build it the way your Grandpa would have built it if you can figure that. That is the only proper way. Then you will carry on his legacy and sure be my hero. What a nice car. :)

    I thought I’d post a little update.

My current plan is to convert to juice brakes, reverse the front and rear springs and put the car together and see how it sits then adjust the stance from there.

I’m currently waiting on my brakes to come in from Richard and Dennis Lacy.

While I’m waiting I decided to take everything apart and repaint it. I gave my springs to a buddy to have them reversed and I’m repainting everything at the house. Hopefully my brakes will be in by early March.

Here is a picture of my frame after paint this weekend.

If you decide to go the Columbia rearend route, I saw one advertised for $700 or 750 last night complete. Lippy

Pick up all the Car Craft and Rod and Custom magazines from the fifties and sixties you can find. They have some excellent hot rod features in them.

    Update:

Juice brakes installed, front and rear springs reversed, new 7.00/7.50 rear and 5.50 front excelsiors on 17” powder coated wires. I’m really liking the stance.

    Here’s some pics.
