I was turned on to the board by a friend of mine. Looking forward to the information and hopefully getting some help with an old '34 Vicky of mine. The car has been in NM, where I came from originally before moving up here some 12 years ago. The flathead hasn't been cranked in probably 15. It is in "original" state, sitting in my folks garage. Yea, they've been on my ass to get it out, and frankly, I've been kind of reluctant to bring the ol iron up North! The desert is the best place for preserving it, ya know? Anyway, I'm into bikes of all kinds. Too many projects to deal with. But, I am getting myself ready to bring the Vicky up here to tear down. Now that I have introduced myself, I'm gonna get started on some search efforts. Chris
OK, I think I figured it out. Although they may be small. I just had these old pictures from 1990 scanned by a friend of mine last night. They are probably the most recent I've got. One is my son and I together and the other is with him in a profile shot. The car pretty much looks about the same, (last time I saw it in my Dad's garage over a year ago, although it was covered in dust). I found a member of the HAMB and talked to him about the transport to WI. Maybe this year, yet. I think I'll have a place ready to start the much needed work by the time it arrives.
Welcome aboard Chris, not sure if you'd remember me, but a friend of Murph's, the youngest of the Mudler brothers. Unfortunately 900 miles south of you, but I got a 18' trailer if you need to get the 34 home, use murphs truck and your all set. Keep talking to Murph about a 31 Chevy he NEEDS to buy! Later Jeff
This was my old handle when I was on this site and JJ for bikes. The Vicky is gone but I’ve got a new project that I brought up in my introduction with the new name. I know, been out of the HAMB for a while…. Here’s the new one. It was my neighbor’s go into town rig since 1999. The power train was replaced by a shop in Chicago land about 14 yrs ago. 91 302 with T5 from around same timeframe. Dana 44 rear end. Not sure of the disc brakes in front. I’m looking to put new rims and tires on it and have been searching here for some tips on offsets, any help on this is appreciated. Wanting to do Cragars on 15”. Still learning things on the truck.
...WOW! Back after 17 years! Welcome back. Love the truck. Sorry the Vicky is long gone. Enjoy your HAMBtime.....Don.
