[ QUOTE ] Hi Upchuck. Is your real name Chuck? Or is there a good story behind your screenname? [/ QUOTE ] My real name is Jeff, I used the name Upchuck on an old online game called planetarion I used to play and it was the only name I could come up with quick that wasn't scifi, egotistical and didn't have numbers in it so it kind of just stuck I wasn't born in a puddle of puke and can't remember the last time I woke up in one either! I'm 42 married and got 2 boys aged 10 and soon to be 12 in a week
chuck welcome. i've had a '48 f-1 (panel truck) for 31 years. there's a chance i might know an answer or two for ya.
welcome!!! hey man, jeff's a cool name, f-1 is a very cool truck. im buildin one right now. what look are you shootin for? something radical, or traditional... you can get away with some cool ****. heres mine so far. s-10 frame, fenders raised two inches hood sectioned 2 inches, 1 inch cut out of running boards to make it look right. i still got a ways to go. lets see some pics!!! good luck
[ QUOTE ] im buildin one right now. what look are you shootin for? [/ QUOTE ] nice look'n truck you got there! thanks I am gonna strip the chrome off except the headlight rings, them hood latch handle things and door handles, leave it primer since I don't expect to ever paint in my lifetime, revive the flathead V8 if possible, and would maybe like to lower it slightly but I haven't got a good look at it on the level, I might be happy with the stock stance with some respectable tires on it other than them old bias ply deeplugs on it I don't got it home yet but will get some pictures of it hopefully by the end of the month when its parked on the ole homestead here
That's cool Jeff, I just thought there mighta been some cool "drunk out one night with the boys" kinda story, but I'll forgive ya this time!

Whatcha talkin about editing old cl***ic wall art ....Welcome from another BC Jeff. I was in Cranbrook last summer for the fires and met a guy with a couple of old cars..nice old sled and GTO I think. He's the pres of the Cranbrook car club , Ron was his name. Anyway , lots of good info here and some really talented guys. You can learn alot from them...
[ QUOTE ] I was in Cranbrook last summer for the fires [/ QUOTE ] off topic I know I got a pretty funny story about them fires, we live out of town at cranbrook and were on alert for a day or 2 til they upped it to evacuation alert and when the cops came by to gather names and family member numbers I asked them if I could talk to them off the "record" something, they just looked at each other and asked me what and I said I got nothing to say if they were going to follow up on it so they agreed to off the record, well I asked them what I should do with about 30 lbs of black powder I had in the house, since if it went up in smoke and there was some of you fire guys around I didn't want a big section of the house blowing shrapnel and debris all over, their mouths fell open a fair bit and they suggested I soak it down to which I replied "no can do" since I wanted it for my shooting so in the end we agreed to bury it and mark its location incase they brought in a Cat or something for a fireguard all in all though they were a pretty good bunch of cops, and my hats off to you firefighters whether you were in the bush fighting it or riding around on patrol with firetrucks it was a pretty intense couple of weeks
