Hello guys... I have viewed many posts over the last five or six months and thought it was time to jump in and make the introduction. I have seen many heads roll after making the mistake to post and not introduce... so here we go. My name is Josh and I live in Rancho Cuca****a, California (About 10 minutes from Pomona). I can't say that I'm a master at working with cars, but I enjoy it and do most work myself. My current cars include a 1941 Chevy coupe which is pictured here. I am on a crash course to get it running. It has been a weekend project over the last 6 weeks and should be on the road in about 2 more. I would have loved to go with something more traditional, but I found a new 350HO crate motor still in the box for only $500.00 so I couldn't p*** it up. I also have a 1951 Cadillac sixty-one series coupe with a 331. Engine is stock with offy valve covers. This car is lowered with whitewalls and has been nosed and decked. And of course the interior is tuck & roll. My last car is a 1952 Cadillac Fleetwood. It is a project waiting to happen. Once finished with my Chevy I am looking forward to putting together a Model A coupe or a 1932 pickup truck. I already know many people who are members here, but look forward to meeting others. Best Regards, Josh
GEEZ....i cant believe that a perfectly GOOD intro has gone un-noticed!! How's life outside Pamona?Everyone still hang out at the mall in Montclaire?(spelling?) I havent been there in 4 years!Good luck with the car and Welcome Josh!enjoy your stay!
[ QUOTE ] Whats the deal with the WWW's on the 90's directional rims? [/ QUOTE ] Maybe he has a set of tradi***onal full wheel caps planned.
Welcome.... Nice intro, good to have you around. Nice looking Cad, and the coupe seems to be coming right along. Keep us informed with your progress.
What? You dont like the 1980's wheels? Hahaha I hate them too... But they came on the car and are going to be replaced when the car is actually running. I either want the original style painted wheel and smoothies or a pair of cl***ic styled chrome rims. Either way the white walls stay and the wheels go...
Good intro. The other new guys could learn alot from you. Welcome. Beautiful cars. Keep us posted with the progress on your Chevy. Who's Plymouth is in the background of your pic of the Caddie?
Good intro. Those wheels on the 41 would look wonderful on your car trailer. I gotta black 41 coupe too, only mine's a poncho. As for the 350 crate motor..use it with no guilt.. it'll be a chevy in a chevy. In fact, I have one in my daily driver astro van and I've had really good luck with it. Never uses oil and runs just fine for a stocker..
Cherrysoda, I've visited your website a number of times in the past. That Plymouth was a beautiful car. I really liked the photochop you did on it where you lowered it, tinted the windows, got rid of the turn signal ligts, etc... I bet you miss it.
Thanks for all the posts... Now that we have cleared up the intro we can get to the good stuff... Best Regards, Josh
GREAT intro and great looking cars... Welcome to the board... heh, i p*** Rancho every day going to work..
