Hello everyone. I'm in heaven! Other people do love old fords! LOL

"Aunt Cora" (1955 ford customline) has been in the family since new. She has lived her entire life close to her birth place at the Norfolk ***embly plant. Her namesake was a teacher at a local elementary school and I rode this same car to school. My aunt would "race" the other teachers after school. Now where did I get it from? The car was p***ed down to my sister and then to my brother and finally I got her....totally clapped out when his neighbors started cutting the tires to get it off the street. I used her as a "field car" for a while and kept her under the barn.
As luck would have it, I lost my driving privilege (I did some of the smoky and the bandit stuff before Bert did) and a friend gave me a set of his old rusty Keystone Cl***ics from his dodge charger. Time and the keystones led to where she is now. She needs another rehab (starting it now) but has a 312 .60 over, 4 speed, 4bbl 600 Holley, and duals.
On the list disc brakes, steering, overdrive, make everything work again.

Welcome to the best Ford group around !
Sounds like the car has been run hard a long time ! Still sounds like a great old hotrod ! You should keep it like it is with the 312 , 4 bbl and 4 speed trans ! That's a true cl***ic hotrod for sure !

Welcome from So Cal. Nice looking car.
It looks like you can use the front & rear brakes from your Lincoln and have 4 wheel discs. Good luck with the build and feel free to ask any questions as someone on here will have the answer.
    And post some pictures please.
