Beautiful Ryan, Love the opening photo and mostly you got my favorite airplane with the P-51. Hoo wee! Thanks!
Lol, so long ago. I loved the Cinematic, so sad that it didn't continue. And I am now a few versions behind, only on an iPhone 13 Pro at the moment. I need to catch up.
I still want to smash mine with a BFH. I am tired of talking to someone about a particular unusual subject and then a day later see an article about that very same thing on my phone. I do NOT believe in coincidences.
More than likely, those aren't coincidences. If you have Facebook, Instagram and now Twitter installed on your phone, just know you are being tracked more aggressively than you can imagine. Apple does a decent job of keeping their own apps safe (safari is fine), but 3rd party apps can be very, very detrimental to your privacy.
I use my own photos I had this a few months ago.... My default go to that stays on my phone year round.... I'm back to this again... Ole 4014 Makes me happy!
classy picts I've had the same wallpaper for a few years now, a hold over from my last phone. may be time for a change. and yes our devices are always listening and talking to each other, we have five smart phones and an Alexa with an Echo plus voice control on the smart TV remote. this is my well worn wallpaper
Cool shots Ryan! After reading this, I decided I should update my background on my phone that I would also like to smash with a BFH. Anyway, I suppose I am likely stuck with the ball and chain so might as well at least have a decent background to look at. This started as a landscape pic I took Saturday at the Gathering at the Roc that I just zoomed in on so it would sort of fit. Works as motivation for getting started on my Merc.
OOps! I didn't know you could change the picture on your phone , that's another thing I would have to pester a young'un for.
Fielding complaints that my hastily thrown together backgrounds don't allow for the top 1/3rd of the screen to have legible text placed over it for the clock, widgets, etc... My bad... here are some more hastily thrown together backgrounds that might help with that...
I carry an Iphone for work but the one I truly use is my Android. Fact is, they are both super computers we carry around in our pockets. Pretty crazy really
I don't have any of that shit. Location is turned off unless I need WAYS. One day I needed some new screw drivers and went to Lowe's. Didn't use my phone in any way, not location, not pay my bill, paid cash. And I never gave them a phone number or email address ever. For three days I got messages, Other items at Lowe's you may need that are on sale. From now on IF I ever go there I turn off my phone about a mile from there and it stays in the car. Last week I showed a picture of the elk my son got to a friend. For 2 days I got articles for outfitters, other trophy elk, etc. Right now I can't use my phone for email. They went to a 2 step verification code, but use my wife's name, email, and phone number and want HER pass word. She doesn't need notified when I am looking at my email.
I was out for dinner with my daughter and her family one night a few years ago. They drove and I was a passenger. My daughter was putting an address into her phone to use the gps to drive there, meanwhile I was talking with my son in law about what they had done the other day at the state fair. When the gps came on it said "showing the fastest route to your destination with a route to the state fair" no bullshit, these things are electronic leashes and I want NO part of it.....
Not to derail the bosses' thread but I'm with ya Mark. I'm sure the bulk of society thinks they have a good reason to have a cel phone. My wife claims I need a cel phone, my response is "I'm not that important" to the world. Besides, her phone is never turned on when I call her..........from my land line.
Easy one. Your credit card company or bank is selling your data in real time. unless you are very experienced with cloaking, you can’t hide. All you can do is take precautions. I’m dedicated to privacy, know in great detail how the tech works, and I still slip on occasion.
I am too stupid for a smart phone. My wife insists I carry a phone. Using a flip phone saves me a lot of cash each month. Great Images Ryan. As always you're a sharp shooter
there is no escaping the watching. there are cameras at checkout that use facial recognition, cameras at intersections that recognize cars and plates, most transactions are done with credit or debit and track what, where, when you buy and a million other bits of information, and on and on. but if this is where we are and what we have to work with we can still make it work for us... thank you Ryan for making this little corner of the system for us to gather. and look good doing it too
Even though I no longer have the service I still have the device. It is an iPhone 6 (told ya it’s been a long time) and it is a camera and acts like a computer when there is WiFi. Here’s the lock screen picture
My wall paper/screen lock, is a great photograph of Libby Gardener. She was a kick ass WASP during WW-2. This photograph of her, with her arm out, of the cockpit window, of a Martin B-26 Marauder, has been on my smartphone for many years.
No matter what you think of them they capture images really well and those can be tossed into further digital playgrounds for further artistic exploration...nice pics Ryan...is that Casney's Roadster? It doesn't really matter as it's stunning none the less...it's not just the subject either... I can't imagine this place if everyone shelved their portable cameras... I really continue to wow myself with what appears after a push of the digital shutter...if I make a few more smile with the captures after my scrutiny that's the plan...
