I'll tell Dustin to keep the firearms at home then. No need getting entangled in a web of shit.

I know you have a busy schedule, but I'll throw out an invite to my small, humble (usually dirty) shop!
The Kart isn't here, but I've got my old chopped 55 Olds, a couple Lincs, 34 Terraplane 61 Olds, and Radical 46 chevy I'm building. As well as my 61 Olds, and F1 "drivers".
    PM me if interested!
Oh...and if you're into great beer...after seeing the Simeone museum (highly recommended!) go to 16th and Spruce in Philly, to the Monk's Cafe. One of the best beer bars EVER!

Jim, Terd is right. We all do carry.
If I am out of the shower and have clothes on....I have a firearm (or two) on me. Its just the way we do it down here. I carry to work, out in the shop, out to dinner...etc.

Its not that we are afraid or scared...if that was the case we would take rifles everywhere we went....lol

You guys up North don't understand as guns are just not part of the culture. Mostly due to restrictive gun laws. I'm not talkng about the thug/rap culture, I mean normal everyday folks. Down here, you get your first bb gun by the time you're six. By ten, you've probably got your first .22. You probably get to keep that .22 in your room. By twelve, you're dad has probably already taken you hunting. Gun safety is ingrained from the very beginning. There's none of that crap about guns make your dick bigger. Its just normal. Guns are a tool. Fear or loathing of guns is what I consider not normal. No offense to you or anyone else.

Less gun talk more what we're going to to and where we're going to go talk!!!

I'm getting a little nervous about the wether up there in the North. Hopefully it lets up and clears out by Thursday.

  16. Firearms.... Ahhh.. Shit....

    ATTENTION ALL IRON LORDS

It has come to my attention that some unscrupulous individual may have posted some comments ragarding the Iron Lords using my HAMB account.

I believe these derogatory comments made reference to an affinty for pink, JJ's purple cheerleading outfit, and some possible homosexual undertones within the group. I can assure you that these comments DO NOT reflect my feeling towrds the Iron Lords or any of their members.

I will be sure not to leave my computer unattended so as this cannot happen again.

If any of you happen to bump into me at Autorama, I will be the one sitting with my back to the wall trying hard not to make eye contact with anyone in an Iron Lords T-shirt.

Long live the Iron lords - The Koolest Kats around!!!

Is it safe to come out of my bunker now????

    :rolleyes::D:D:D

  18. Whew.... I thought this was gonna turn into another one of those situations like when I called The Hells Angels a bunch of Wussies!!!!!! I had to move out of state after that one!!! LOL

So JJ, you are gonna make it to Detroit! Can't wait to meet ya in person.

Word on the street Daddy O is that 10 Iron Lords and a few other friends might be coming. But I am sure by the time we get down to it, it'll be more like 4-5 Iron lords and one other friend haha!!! I'm planning on it and as of right now I'm in so I have to go ahead and wash my Take Out T cheerleading costume and get my pom pom's ready.

  20. JJ what day are you getting to Detroit?

Andy and I will be there Thursday evening.

We're leaving Thursday after work so we'll be there Friday morning or so. Take in a little shut eye and should be ready to go by noonish?

But before I get to Detroit, I need to make it to Philly/NYC/NJ and back. Lot's of stuff coming back with me and I'm a little excited about it all!!!

  22. Cool!!

Bring some cash and I'll send the '54 home with you. Then I can get started on the deuce you and I have built 50 times in our mind.

JJ- Forecast is for snow up here on Sat and next Tues.
We should get a couple of inches on Sat., from what I hear.
Definitely avoid the ferry and head on through by highway. As the ferry is too much like the Slow Boat to China.
Driving up here is what it is. Yeah, 95 is a nightmare. But, if you're coming up on Saturday morning all should be clear of most traffic.

I'm a "half-back", born & raised in Philthydelphia, attended Mastbaum 1967-1970, joined Navy, retired in Florida then moved "half way back" to Clinton, SC. When in Philly flush twice, it's a long way to Harrisburg (local joke).

  28. I do the Orient Point ferry myself, especially if I'm coming home late on a weekend and I'm tired. Just take the LIE to the last exit, 73 and take Route 58 east to Orient. You can get a reservation online and bring it with you to the terminal. Ran me $49.50 for me and the car a few months ago.

THANKS FOR THE INFO! I actually have two free passes for the Ferry (one to go and one the come back) so I definitely will be using them! Plus like I said, I have business on the island so it's sort of necessary to hit up Long Island.
