Is every old car fair game for cuttin' up?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by FritzTownFord, Aug 4, 2007.

  1. I hear alot of folks hollaring because it's a pristine car, but it's the same thing Barris, Westergard, and all the rest of the Kustom kings did. The only difference was they were still new(er). They hadn't rusted yet.

I don't have a problem with a pro builder cutting one up...the key word being PRO. There's a HUGE difference between the guy who says he's a pro and the one who is.

Honestly, I am tired of working on rusty wrecks, when the customer would have saved 10-20k if he'd forecasted ahead of time(or been informed). Then he's mad and questioning why it costs so much. Things just go faster AND easier with a nicer car.

This topic is on the verge of being a "do we accept 'High Tech' cars" thread. They are cars rusty or not, make 'em kool.

I like all original vehicles, I LIKE 'EM EVEN BETTER CHOPPED, CHANNELED, AND LAYIN ON THE GROUND!

  2. You cna sent your Ole lady to Mexico for a **** job too.

You get what you pay for.

To rip up vintage steel is a crime, hotroders wouldnt do it. They would sell it, or trade it for a few projects

A stock, unmolested '32 Roadster or 3 window are rare because most have already been cut up. Seriously, everything to build a hot rod '32 is available without cutting up an original.

The guy who had the Airflow butchered sold it 6 months after finishing it. I hope he rots in hell. As mentioned, he could have done the same thing with a 4-door.

Pearls before swine, don't I love the guys who have a dream, can take a 50K car, cut it up, **** it up, tell us how good they are then sell it for less than it was worth. ****'n wet dreamers. If some of these guys are so good why not use their talent to save something, not destroy something.
When I stand up I am 5' 10", when I sit down I am 4' 6". Did they really cut down a hundred foot tall tree to make me shorter?
