  1. This is the way I feel. So now I don't have to type so much. Do it right the first time.

Alright well let me throw a cold climate view into this!
So I'm working on my 37 coupe and will be starting a new post on the project today or tomorrow WITH pictures! (if I can get them posted) Here in the interior of Alaska were we only have about 6 months to do any cruising, we have lots of shop time during the other six months. (it was 8 below and snowing this morning but is suppose to be 20-30 below tonight and tomorrow night) So the plan is I'm going to get it painted and on the road this early summer. Then in October when we have to shut down for the winter, I'm going to do the interior. So basically I'm going to be driving/enjoying a project in progress.
So some of you will cringe at the idea of driving an unfinished ride. But all of you will agree "every day that you don't go cruisin is a day you'll never get back!!!!!!!!!!"
That reality slapped me in the face on new years day this year when I found myself having to have heart surgery.
I won't miss another day to go for a rip!!!

"Do not let perfection get in the way of progress" was in a editorial a bit back in HRM and I am trying to hold by that with my project. That might be a good mantra for you as well. In my field we also have a saying that "better is the enemy of good" but I am a perfectionist, I hate flaws and fixing them its what I do, I'm screwed.....

Paint it! That way its done, you can enjoy it and not have to tear it apart again.
