Looking at this hinge photo from the driver door, does this look like Henry Ford original 1935 steel and parts or reproduction? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
looks just like the upper drivers door hinge on my `36 coupe..which is actually a `35 body with `36 sheet metal not sure if anyone is reproducing them
The vertical part that the pin goes through appears to be the bronzish color that I see on repop hinges. Still, like 36-3, I don't know if anyone pops them out but then they would be better than worn out originals which could lead to alignment issues. The screws do look correct.
Looks like there are screws and skin washers holding the hinge to the door, too. Pretty sure mine are riveted.
just looked....mine are riveted on the drivers door too maybe the screws was for some repair? i still don't think anyone repops them
Maybe J B Donaldson made some for their gl*** 3W; thinking I saw a picture of one with stock style hinges.
My '36 hinges had flathead countersunk bolts with washers and looked exactly like that. As far as I know, there are no reproduction 35, 36 Ford hinges. The only aftermarket hinges I have ever seen for 32-48 Fords are the 32 hinges that United Pacific just came out with last year. Are you just curious about the origin of your hinges or is there some kind of issue we can help you with? -Abone.
