come with a ***le? body looks pretty weak. rearend set up will need to be redone. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. if you have lots of talent, time and $$ offer $200.
Offer less, of course, always, that's a no-brainer. From what I can see, (do you have a pic of the trailing arms/links?) That frame, rear setup and rear axle are worth the asking price, if the gears in the diff are good.
if you wanted to build it, it's worrth $300, there is $300 worth in usable parts there, frame, spring, shackles, radius rods, the rest I would junk, supose the spindles and brakes could be used also
im going to look at it this week end its about 3 hours from me. its a customer of mines he has a **** ton of parts as well: 283,3speed, radiator grill, zoomies. i think it is a good deal just for kicks i could always part it out
What's up with the crazy, wavy I beam axle? Someone will want those AR Vector wheels. If you can get $200 for those, you're into the car for $100, well worth that.
Either way, it's worth three bills in this part of the world. As insane as prices are getting, you couldn't help but get your money back if you changed your mind.
Well I just told him i would bring him bring him $250 and a 12 pack of PBR....he said he liked my negotiating skills and i had a deal.....pickin it all up on sunday!! thanks everyone
looks su****iously like an axle i had from a 59 dodge D100 pickup. even appears to have the leaf spring perchs.. could be wrong though, wouldnt be the 1st time... today.
I was going to add--think of it this way--is it worth the sum of the parts if you tried to part it out. $100 ch***is, $100 radius rods, $50-100 rear end that leave $50 to $100 for the body which makes it gravy--but sounds like you're already ahead of the game
That body looks like a mid twenties Dodge touring front half which is a good start for a modified type car. I think if you pull that wood firewall out and spensome time tweeking the cowl it will go back to it's natural shape. Frame looks usable, but put a tape to it and make sure it's straight before you get too crazy about building something from it. Toss the front axle and get a ford I-beam or bell tube, perches, shackles, and bat wings and you've got the start of a ch***is. The rear suspension I can't see from the side, but depending on the radius rod set up is kinda late sixties to mid seventies standard construction and actually worked pretty well when all was set up properly. All in all, you did pretty well for 300.00!
